Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from March 28, 2025 Favoriting

Uncle Michael's avatar View Uncle Michael's profile Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

I have those "Complete" Miles CD box sets-I like hearing the whole recording that was edited into the released track, but, in the end, I mostly listened to the edited tracks (which was Teo Macero's doing). He deserves much of the credit for the final result.

My assumption is that these weren't intended for release. That all this studio jamming was for the purpose of getting all the players onto the page Miles wanted them on.

Having ridden bicycles & motorcycles for many years it is compulsory to think that way. Feel lucky that I only had one broken leg in that time. Classic, driver pulls out of side turning. S'funny there were three of us in the Orthopaedic Hospital all with broken left legs from identical accidents.
