happy holidays pseu-- have you got any groooooovy thanksgiving plans???=)=)=)peace
8:32pm
pseu:
What am I doing that's groovy? it looks like I'll be waiting with the rest of the listeners for a post that won't be a conversation killer.
8:34pm
john:
Are you telling me a song lyric delineating the meaning of different colored sputum isn't the ultimate ice-breaker at awkward social gatherings?
8:34pm
Laurie:
Sorry, Pseu, my cat was on my lap. She gets bitey if I try to type over her.
8:35pm
Laurie:
And I'm freaking out because I googled "bloody sputum" about an hour ago, and I'm pretty sure I have a lung infection and am slowly dying.
It's that, or I have hypochondria.
I hate WebMD sometimes.
8:36pm
Laurie:
Actually, that's a lie. I googled "bloody mucus," to be precise.
8:45pm
john:
Awfully good chance it's just a sinus infection with a side dose of cyberchondria.
8:49pm
Laurie:
Well, I'm sorry answered your question!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!
True Blood is on HBO, so you know there's lots of sex and full frontal nudity. It's really bad, though. You know, despite the fact that you get to see Sara from Freaks and Geeks naked.
8:51pm
bartelby:
I think I have a pinched nerve from falling asleep on the couch a few days ago. Also, sure cure for hypochondria is Morbidity and Mortality weekly report, you can go no further in that direction
8:51pm
annabelle c.:
i really loved bram stoker's dracula..that movie was so thrilling
8:52pm
pseu:
I have one word for you: LANGELLA
8:52pm
chris:
i leave the room for five minutes and come back to music to scare cats by...
8:55pm
john:
HIgh school English class trip to see Langella as Dracula on Broadway back in nineteen and seventy-mmph. My friend Russell asked me why people laughed at the line about English people sleeping with the window open. It's all in the delivery.
8:55pm
chris:
but everything is better now. would you believe that they really grooved to nick the bard doing the be-atles the other day.
happy holidays pseu.
8:57pm
Laurie:
Near Dark is my favorite vampire movie, by the way.
8:57pm
pseu:
"they"?
I have two words for you: "RAUL JULIA".
Three Penny Opera circa '79.
8:59pm
C:
i guess it feels more like vampire season now for some reason than halloween did. i just saw that bowie-sarandon vampire movie the other week. pretty good concept, but i thought it kind of went nowhere unfortunately. i'm not a huge vampire fan though.
9:00pm
pseu:
I have 4 syllables for you: PHI-LIP ANG-LIM.
Elephant Man circa '80-something.
9:01pm
john:
I remember the great poster for that production of Three Penny Opera, though I fear I missed it. I saw Julia the same season as Dracula (?) in The Cherry Orchard.
9:03pm
annabelle c.:
everybody have a wonderful & happy thanksgiving g'nite gobble gobble=)
9:11pm
pseu:
I have 6 syllables for you: DA-VID DUKES and RI-CHARD GERE in "Bent" circa 1980.
9:14pm
john:
You're just chock-a-block with syllables this evening. Just saying.
9:26pm
R I S K Y:
Im shook.
9:29pm
pseu:
I expected Laurie to chime in with 3 words:
Harry Potter's Penis.
9:46pm
Sensei Rebel:
Is the stream broken ? It says corrupt data on both of my PCs.
9:53pm
john:
It was broken for a while, but it seems to be back. Or I'm just hearing voices. Not that they're mutually exclusive. Oh neat, the Decomposing Refreshment Update (TM).
9:54pm
john:
Oh damn, gone again. Disregard.
9:57pm
j:
Dead Stream
9:59pm
M:
silent stream here,too
9:59pm
Ken:
FMU is having web problems.. Pseu can't see this page right now and all streams are down.
10:01pm
j:
Fix it Kenny!
:)
10:04pm
Ken:
Working on it...
10:06pm
john:
Or just move the transmitter 30 miles or so northeast and I'll be perfectly happy. Probably not workable on a variety of levels, though.
10:10pm
Ken:
Ooh, looks really bad folks.. both of our T1 circuits are dead. Waiting on Verizon now.
10:13pm
j:
Archives work OK.
10:13pm
Laurie:
I leave for forty five minutes to get some fro yo, and look what happens.
10:19pm
Ken:
Old archives work but new archives wont be available until this problem is fixed. Also, DJs wont be able to do playlists. The station in Jersey City has no connection to the internet at all. I'm at home which is why I can tell you this..
10:27pm
bartelby:
pseu you are back online
10:27pm
john:
Coming back in and out, making half-asleep Cat jump each time.
10:28pm
Ken:
Looks like it is back up, let's hope it stays this way!
10:34pm
j:
Thanks Ken!
10:47pm
pseu:
Jesus people. That was some brain-scrambling freakout gondola ride..
11:03pm
Laurie:
I'm sending in my end-of-the-year donation on Monday, guys.
11:05pm
~L:
Just mailed mine! Are you a Twilight fan?
11:06pm
Laurie:
Me? No, I have not read that stuff. I can't judge the teens, though. I loved Christopher Pike books when I was 10.
11:07pm
Ken From Hyde Park:
Huh? What did I miss? I was putting the kids to bed.
11:15pm
~L:
I read it because my teen and all his friends are fans. They went to the movie tonight dressed in Goth. But to me it is really watered down Anne Rice with a large dose of a PG-11 abstinence message. The photo Pseu posted here is cool, though. Also, the kids really needed something to read after they outgrew Harry Potter, and they are hooked on the series concept.
2:13am
joey:
WOW! hmmm...nvm (runs away)
2:17am
joey:
holy cow! i have this "chat room" to meself...eerrrrr...what am i talkin bout?
