Listener comments!

  7:03pm FIRST:

  7:06pm jeremy, the listener:

long live wfmu
  7:07pm Ike:

I just pledged, so let's see if it gets through to you at Maxwell's.
  7:09pm Vicki:

evening, good luck
  7:11pm Ike:

Hooray, it got through!

I need some rose-colored glasses too. Come on, wealthy and generous types, spew out some cash for WFMU please please please!
  7:19pm Asterios:

  7:20pm Eric:

I love winning!
  7:21pm ?:

I love reasonable size stickers!
  7:23pm G:

I discovered the station last year, and mouse pledged earlier in the marathon -- good luck with the big finish tonight!

Come on, peepz, if you haven't pledged a good amount yet, think about how little a pledge comes to -- a mouse pledge (for example) is a buck a day, which on your credit card is $30 a month...

There are dozens of radio stations in New York, but on not one of them could you ever find the shows you appreciate here. If you believe in what you hear, then help keep it here and flourishing...
  7:36pm gerardo:

i've been waiting twelve solid months for this moment...

arriba la hoof & mouth sinfonia!, viva la fmu!

saludos a tod@s desde chile!
  7:42pm mark:

I think someone working for AIG should give wfmu part of that $170'000'000'000

good luck wfmu!! yo la tengo played me a song the other night and it made me swoon, if I had any money left I'd give it to you

  7:58pm Glenn L:

  8:16pm gerardo:

  8:22pm SPUDS:

  8:30pm SPUDS:

BRONWYN (AND FRIEND) ,& JIM ALLEN were my First two shows on WIFMOO. At first I thought they were Anomolies, but alas I discovered other very talented DJ's... Daniel B, Pseu B, Bethany, Rich, just to name a few. I am pledging and just want to thank Bronwyn for sharing her time with us. I MISS YOU !! (EVEN THOUGH SHE WONT SEE THIS ).
  8:30pm Hortense:

I thought you were a dog person, Bronwyn.
  8:32pm mr h:

this has been the best friggin show of the whole year
  8:49pm gerardo:

rock on, therese!
  8:51pm Brian:

The band sounds fantastic. Scott Williams deserves a MacArthur Genius Grant for pulling this together.
  8:51pm a&p:

Yeah Therese!!! Whoot whoot!
  8:51pm ranjit:

i agree -- MacArthurs for everyone!
  8:55pm gerardo:

  9:01pm Abigail Cohen:

Frangry makes a great Danzig
  9:02pm dc pat:

  9:02pm StacyO:

Therese, great job! You rock.
  9:02pm Abigail Cohen:

makes me wish i there
  9:03pm dc pat:

I'd like to hear some one cover You Drive Me Ape You Big Gorilla.
  9:04pm Chris J:

Damn, way to belt it out, Frangry!
  9:15pm dc pat:

ok what's HotRod singing?
  9:22pm Ike:

DC Pat, that's the real question, ain't it?
  9:25pm dc pat:

indeed. I also want to hear Bryce wail on the drums.
  9:31pm gerardo:

good work, tamar & pgb!

(so this is barra barra, ken's fave...)
  9:35pm ?:

No offense but can you not post the song on the playlist until it starts. Announcing it beforehand, either on the playlist or from the stage announcer takes a little surprise out of it. Trying to be contructive, don't flame please.
  9:36pm jeremy, the listener:

could be a delay...
  9:37pm Hortense:

Offense taken.

Ken's showing off that 1.5 octave range of his.
  9:38pm ?:

Guess Hortense you should lighten up.
  9:38pm drewo:

Is this a Ken Freedman original?
  9:40pm Marc:

If only that were a Ken & Andy duet.
  9:42pm jeremy, the listener:

HR + aesop = heaven
  9:42pm gerardo:

woooooo, bronwyn!!!
  9:45pm joerg:

YES, we need Bronwyn on the air
  9:52pm Ken Katkin:

I wish I could be like TODD-O-PHONIC TODD!!!!!!!!
  9:53pm dividend:

miss u bronwyn
  9:58pm Hortense:

?: Guess you should just not look at the playlist, huh?

drewo: Ken's song was a Mariah Carey song.
  10:00pm ?:

Hortense, are you a moron? just trying to make a suggestion but you are the thought police of this blog or whatever it is.
  10:06pm dc pat:

OK guys, separate. Take it easy.. Cool out. Everything is OK.
  10:07pm dc pat:

?: please don't call people names...we're all on the same team here.
  10:07pm Steve:

way to spoil vibe of the marathon, guys or whatever you are
  10:08pm mark:

?, hortense said you have a bum like a chimp
  10:13pm Ken:

Sorry, just rejoining the thread here. Deleted Hortense although I didnt have time to fully catch up.
  10:14pm gerardo:

i agree with steve
  10:16pm dc pat:

OOoooh, red card for Hortense. Don't know about that call Ken....
  10:17pm Ike:

Trent must be joking about the station buying stuff made in China. Or at least I hope so. It is not a good value and will break quickly. China mostly still produces totally worthless garbage.
  10:21pm tomasz.:

this comment section is insane... show is sounding great tho. i too am waiting for HotRod... tomasz, uk.
  10:23pm dc pat:

Yeah, come on HotRod, I have to do the dishes....and if I drink any more beers I'll forget how to do di$hes..
  10:24pm Ken:

Yeah, Hot Rod has a great voice. I unbanned Hortense - I have no idea what's been going on - just get along everybody.
  10:26pm mark:

our wealth of the last 10 years has been built of the backs of Chinese workers, don't slag em off
  10:28pm mark:

its ok, someone got called a chimpybum
  10:28pm dc pat:

Ken is everywhere.
  10:29pm tomasz.:

wow! Dan + Can = win
  10:30pm Ike:

Mark, you have a point, but they generally don't take pride in what they make, as a whole, unless it's food. I've seen it for myself. I mostly blame their government. But maybe I shouldn't have said anything in the first place. Wrong time, wrong place. Sorry. Go Dan Bodah go!
  10:30pm Kay:

Mooney, Suzuki, and now Bodah!
  10:30pm dividend:

dangit thought vitamin c was the artist. frgt it
  10:32pm PG:

I am mesmerized by Dan Bodah.
  10:33pm PG:

not to mention the band. fantastic.
  10:34pm mark:

has anyone been sick on the stage yet?

p.s. we're all brothers
  10:35pm dc pat:

  10:40pm dc pat:

  10:41pm Lizardner Dave:

Oh fuck, wrong song.
  10:44pm claire:

  10:45pm evan:

  10:58pm Steve Barton:

Everything I've heard has been fabulous. Thanks to all at WFMU for all you do. Don't let me forget to go back and listen to the archive of this whole thing...
  10:58pm SPUDS:

They can't read this but our HomeGrowns are very intriguing and all are making for some good listening. Me likes...

Too bad it must come to a close. :(
  11:00pm the Illuminated Void:

I want to sign her now
  11:02pm Ike:

  11:17pm Lizardner Dave:

  11:30pm john from greenwich:

yeah, i could certainly find you a foreclosure if you want to move to the nutmeg stateā„¢. Low taxes, and lots of pink and green. Think about it.
  11:37pm RSTVMO Thirsty:

"Stick it to the man."
  11:38pm The Man:

  11:46pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi. I was at my sister's for the weekend. Did you guys haul in lots of money? I hope so, since I enjoy listening to the station over the air and on the internet.
  11:46pm The Man:

They're not sad at all they're actually singing!

They sing without sponsors!

They sing without government funds!
  11:49pm Mick Muck:

Losers lounge lizards
  11:50pm gerardo:

and how they sing, my god!
  11:50pm Rhianna:

*your* god?
  12:00am gerardo:

Rhianna commenting on my comments?

u could be singin' there, with the guys!

rock on, terre!!!
  12:04am Joe Steele:

Nice, Terre.
  12:05am Andy in Iowa City:

Has been a great night and Marathon. Probably pledged more than I should have with money being tight, but couldn't resist... love me some WFMU!
  12:05am Jim:

I miss Hovs and Belinda.
  12:07am Rodolfo:

Great marathon wrap up. We need some pics!
  12:08am Joe Steele:

I can't believe how many times they got me pledging. FMU rules.
  12:08am Martin:

Best Show 4 life!
  12:11am SPUDS:

Gheeze... This is getting tough. My City is built by the 4th ID and 51st Space Wing. Love em both, but it is becoming difficult to say up to listen to all this soulful viscera - such good stuff by all. I wonder if my pledge will entitle me to arrive at the "orifice" a bit tardy?

Thanks all
  12:13am Roman:

How come there are no pics? Would love to see Tom beltin' this out!
  12:13am Steve Barton:

SPUDS: Go Ivy Div! Thanks for your service. -- skb

  12:19am skb:

Still humming Going Down to Liverpool -- thanks Pseu!
  12:21am SPUDS:

I'm pushing a pencil these days. We DO INDEED owe so much to those in the Sand Box. And lard knows we still have too many working hard over there!

Hopefully they can come home soon. We have plenty of cleaning up to do CONUS.

  12:29am gerardo:

we can still come thruuuuuuuu...
  12:30am Timmy Hayner:

Clay Pigeon is such a soulful dude. I must cry now.
  3:34am Jeff M:

  11:15am HotRod:

Maria and Scott were sooooooo good. What a wonderful time!
  4:04pm Clay Pigeon:

It was all about Hot Rod on this Hoof N Mouth night. Outstanding!
  4:44pm HotRod:

Thanks much, CP! :)

Now I need to figure out what to sing next year...
  6:55pm Cynthia:

I so wanted to tell Clay how much I love his show and loved his song last night but I was too star struck. Not to mention intoxicated!
  9:21pm Betsy:

Aaahhhh!! You guys all RULED! So sad I wuz out o' town.
  12:46pm -max-:
