Nice selection Betsy! I was supposed to have John Compton do a live set on my show once, but he bailed on me. So disappointing...
  10:15am
Betsy:

Hey Hatch! Yeah I saw your note on the CD. I LOVE that record.
  10:20am
Hatch:

It's surely the best of his records... even better than Appaloosa, which I also love.
  10:24am
Betsy:

Oh I don't know that one! But yeah, it's such a great Californ-i-a sounding rekkid.
  10:36am

  10:40am
Hatch:

Yeah you'd never guess he's from Boston!

Appaloosa was his first band, on Columbia records. Al Kooper produced their LP, there's a CD reissue in the library.
  10:41am
Jeremy agin:

Hatch, I have heard of Appaloosa but I've never listened to it.
  10:43am

Betsy:

Cool - looks like i"m going 'til at least noon now, so I'll play it!
  10:51am
Parq:

Yeah, Pam, we're pretty decadent. When we stay in B&Bs, we always have to negotiate breakfast time.
  10:53am
Laura:

You have excellent taste in music and an ear for a solid playlist. Glad I tuned in this morning while I clean my apartment.
  10:54am
Betsy:

Thanks Laura! Um, Parq, am I being piped through the elevators at some B&B?? W-I-L-D. ;)
  10:59am
Daniel:

enjoyed hearing the michael hurley cut; heard that the first time as the music over the credits of a "deadwood" episode.
  11:04am
C.:

Speaking of, could you play something from the Nez man?
  11:05am
David:

Go Betsy. Taking Off an incredible movie. Carly Simon's song comes in the middle of an endless music try out scene. Also much intergenerational fun with alchohol and pot.
  11:07am
SmokinJ:

That's a given... :)
  11:11am
Betsy:

Good Lord! Ok, thanks for listening everybody! That was a fun show to do. -B
  11:13am

  2:35pm
Steve:

Betsy,
You have the most fantastic shows (not) on WFMU- I hope you become a regular at some point (if that's what you want). Everything is perfection- selection, segues and the photos are killer! You seem to find images I've never seen before or that blend so seamlessly with the music. If there is a fan club, I'm available to serve as secretary!
