  12:24pm
Scott:

Whoah Cecile, me too!
  12:25pm
Cecile:

Nice!
  12:27pm
Pearly Sweets:

I am listening to Scott's show and Scooter at the same time. Scootter is what I like to call it. Do it every Thursday.
  12:33pm
Scott:

Pearly, do you mean the manager of Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem?
  12:35pm
J-Mar:

@Cecille:

This guy?

http://jeffmills.com/
  12:39pm
chris:

Happy Birthday, Scott's brother!
  12:41pm
Lis'ner James from Westwood:

Always love the chart sweep!
  12:41pm
Taylor:

"I got your hook right here / You stick it in your ear". Yes, Thursdays on WFMU are another reason we don't need God.
  12:42pm
Cecile:

LOLOLOL! No, Jeff Mills a great second gen Detroit Techno artist...
  12:42pm
v k:

  12:43pm
Carmichael:

I hope we get some Loggins & Messina outta this deal ...
  12:44pm
Scott:

Thanks Taylor and VK! That's Bro JT and/or a 1971 chartsweep - god, what a quiet year on the radio!
  12:47pm
J-Mar:

Wow, that chart sweep is strangely intoxicating. Like huffing Vicks or something....
  12:48pm
Scott:

Hey J-Mar, I'd say leave off the "or something....", it's exactly like huffing vicks
  12:50pm
J-Mar:

And it feels GOOD!
  12:51pm
Cecile:

Heh! Speaking of huffing, I got some laughs out of my husband's nerdboy D&D group. Someone came in and said "you need a driver's license to buy Roundup because the teens are huffing it."

I said, "Those kids of today are useless. In my day, we'd huff airplane glue and start the Ramones!"
  12:53pm
Julie B:

Happy Birthday to your brother! I will listen to Moon River in his honor.
  12:55pm
Carmichael:

My personal huffing fave was Pam cooking spray.
  12:55pm
Don Mclean:

I watched both seasons of twin peaks straight, when I was supposed to be writing a dissertation. Absolutely brilliant!
  12:57pm
Julie B:

Now I need to find my Peggy Lipton CD!
  12:58pm
J-Mar:

@Carmichael: Whoa, Pam. That's heavy stuff. I remember the cops coming to my school and tell us not to huff Pam because it would kill us.
  1:02pm
MIchael:

This Twin Peaks mashup is fantastic! Keep it going....
  1:04pm
Carmichael:

Jope I get to hear Leo's voice. He was such an asshole ...
  1:04pm
Carmichael:

*hope*
  1:05pm
jj.:

dude, this is mega-haunting.
  1:05pm
Jim:

Can you get this on mp3 or anything? It's brilliant!
  1:07pm
Scott:

thanks y'all TP-heads. Hit me up off-list if you want mp3age, it was on the fly.
  1:07pm
Pearly Sweets:

I had to fill my belly. But, Scott, Scooter is just the finest dance band to ever exist in the entire world. They come at'cha just like Cleopatra.
  1:22pm
chris:

Are we ready for a Twin Peaks remake, on cable this time? Lynch needs to do a cable series of some kind fer chrissake.
  1:23pm
Michael:

I feel like I just some DMT the past 25 minutes!
  1:28pm
Pearly Sweets:

I hope there is never another remake of anything ever.
  1:28pm
seang:

i like my coffee black--black as midnight on a moonless night.
  1:35pm
some guy:

Lynch could probably do a pretty good show on HBO if they were willing to give him a budget. I believe Deadwood or Carnival got cut because they couldn't produce an episode cheap enough. Too many sets and effects involved. Whereas something like The Wire or Enterage is pretty cheap because they could just go out and find an office or a school or whatever. I have a feeling David Lynch would have a problem working with that kind of mentality.
  1:37pm
dc pat:

I'm with Pearly.
  1:38pm
BSI:

I lost my faith in (much of) humanity when I heard about the Suspiria remake. Stop the madness, I say unto thee...
  1:38pm
Scott:

dc pat, you should put that on a pin, I'd wear one.
  1:39pm
Liberal Irreligious Youth:

DCP, was your comment a remake of Pearly's?
  1:39pm
BSI:

oh hey, that's uncle aleister under there...
  1:39pm
chris:

@sg you right. @pearly and @dc pat. Awww, just because so many suck doesn't make them all bad, right?
  1:40pm
dc pat:

except maybe Batman...we need another one of those...

what? "I'm with Pearly" it's funny that I'm wearing a pin right now that says "Dean Day". My buddy Dean has been working here for 20 years(!!!!) so we celebrated..
  1:44pm
Looms:

@Scott: Hi, liberal religious young man!
@some guy: considering what happened during Dune's shooting, you're probably right about Lynch.
@Pearly & dc pat: i'm not a remake fan, but some really rock, as The Fly by Cronenberg or Village of the Damned by Carpenter. And the new Batman series is quite fine too.
  1:46pm
st:

is this live audio from the tea party express?
  1:58pm
Pearlu Sweets:

I should also point out that the only three movies I have ever seen are Basket Case, Chopping Mall, and Driller Killer.
  2:00pm
Scott:

what, no "Frankenhooker"??
  2:00pm
Pearloo Sweets:

After those three movies I felt there was nothing left for cinema to show me. I had successfully seen it all.
  2:01pm
Pearboo Meats:

I only glanced at Frankenhooker while writing fan fiction about Brain Damage.
  2:02pm
Pearly Sweets:

Actually, in all honesty, Brain Damage might be my favorite movie by Frank. I recently got a copy of his latest, Bad Biology, which was a pretty neat trip.
  2:03pm
Duke of Earl Grey:

After "Inland Empire," not sure I trust Lynch anymore. Would've loved to see Mulholland Dr. as a series as orig. intended. Wonder why HBO or Showtime didn't pick it up when ABC passed.
  2:06pm
Looms:

I am very sad to agree with you Duke, that movie is a disaster...
  2:08pm
Pearly Sweets:

I just recently got to see the new 33mm print of Eraserhead at the little theater around the corner from my house. What an experience! I've had a copy for years, but it is nothing like seeing it in the theater.
  2:16pm
Looms:

Scott, my mind is melting! Please carry on.
  2:16pm
some guy:

I just remembered: The Twin Peaks soundtrak was the first CD I ever owned.
  2:30pm
?:

'You'll never walk alone'.... This is freaking me out....
  2:33pm
Looms:

... all ... brain ... functions ... dissolved ... must ... resist ...
  2:36pm
Cecile:

Frankenhooker was pretty damn great.
Frangry's friend the Rugged Man was in a recent Hennenloder film...
  2:40pm
Looms:

Alright! Dig WCPAEB, didn't know there was a continuation of that wonderful band.
  2:40pm
C:

i was lucky to catch the zii e zie tour last week. there aren't too many dates left, but if you get a chance, definitely check it out. that banda ce is incredible. they have such a huge sound for just four people.
  2:45pm
Pearly Sweets:

Cecile, that was Bad Biology. R.A. was the producer and co-writer of the film. It wasn't all that bad either.
  2:47pm
Cecile:

Cool! I'll have to watch it.
  2:47pm
Pearly Sweets:

That is to say, if you like Frank's other films, you'll like Bad Biology just the same. We've been opening up sets with a sound snippit from it, where the lead character (who is a fashion photographer) is being torn down by her boss for her latest fashion experiment. (models with vagina face masks on)
  2:50pm
Scott:

Thanks for the report C! I only ever saw him on that American songbook tour - he opened with "Baby", then it was all Cole Porter and Kurt Cobain. Still - just to be in a room with him is thrilling. I remember he had something to say about 9/11 (no doubt tying in "Maria Bethania", "our cities were built to be destroyed"), and it was like that whole acid thing of perfectly clear understanding. Until it's over, and nothing makes sense again.
  2:51pm
Irene:

Scott-- This is the trippiest show I've heard you do in a long time! Glad I had a chance to hear the whole thing. A great one!
  2:54pm
Scott:

Thanks a lot Irene! Sometimes you've gotta just work really hard to ignore that glorious lovely sunlight blaring in on you.
  2:56pm
chris:

Thanks, Scott, mind melting show
  2:57pm
C:

yeah! i know what you're talking about. it was really a moving experience and i'm still processing it.
  2:58pm
Maria D:

Has been fabulous! And thanks for the Townes Van Zandt.
  3:16pm
Bagheera:

How do I get See It! Flee It! I Can't find it even for purchase.
