Hegemony Jones:

Betsy Nichols you are the best!
  7:12pm
Betsy:

Hey everybody! Hope all's well with y'all on this rainy night (rainy in NYC anyway).
  7:15pm
annie:

girl, you HAVE to campaign for a two hour show..
  7:21pm
mark from cbus:

Saw an episode of the old Daniel Boone TV show the other day, with Roger Miller playing Johnny Appleseed. Highly recommended. Thanks for George btw!
  7:42pm
annie:

we LOVED this song when it came out
  7:44pm
Ike:

Yeah, I've never figured out the ice thing there.
  7:45pm
annie:

i think it's EYES
  7:45pm
dave n romy:

awesome! great plays...
  7:47pm
Betsy:

Oh, ha ha!! That would make sense Annie. Ohhh, Dave & ROMY! Two of my favorite people in this world. ;)
  7:47pm
annie:

we loved it cause it spoke to the hypocritical nature of small towns, ..
  7:47pm
Ike:

Annie, you mean like the eyes sold in the barrels in the movie "Blade Runner"? She uses a lot of those whenever her husband is away? That casts the song in a whole other kind of light.
  7:49pm
annie:

haha.. ike, you slay me..
  7:50pm
Ike:

;)
BTW, good show! But is it just me, or are some of the songs much quieter than others? Volume leveling issues?
  7:50pm
Oddmund:

Reminds me of a girl I used to know... :/
  7:51pm
annie:

i'm gonna start a FB page: two for toothpick!!
  7:52pm
Parq:

Betsy, using a lot of ice means she is constantly throwing parties. Rest assured, they are not tupperware parties. It's *so* great to have a regular country show back on the FMU sked. Looking forward to future shows with cheery anticipation.
  7:54pm
Ike:

Ah! And I guess they'd only know that b/c the ice-delivery man has been gossiping, right?
  7:55pm
Parq:

I should add that I always used to think it was "eyes", as in making eyes at other men. (Ike, "making eyes" also has a different meaning in light of Blade Runner). But now that I've heard the TT Hall original demo, I realize it is, indeed, ice.
  7:56pm
Parq:

Country, then vintage gospel, then Spazz. Man, I'm gonna enjoy Thursday nights this winter.
  7:56pm
Dickel:

Maybe that's what they mean by "The Iceman Cometh"...
  7:59pm
Betsy:

Thanks guys! See you next week.
