Another great show! To Dave: you suthners ain't the only ones to have your youth shaped by C & W. Some of us northerners were raised on these good ol' sounds. I was in heaven, when I could pick up The Grand Ol Opry on my old Hallicrafters radio!

Wayne Kemp wrote "Image of Me." It was a big hit for Conway Twitty in, I think, 1968. The version we played on the show is Kemp's original on JAB records. For some reason--prob'ly because he wrote a song with the same title--it's credited wrongly to Harlan Howard sometimes, like on the 2nd Burrito Brothers LP and on the Doug Sahm CD. Whatever...it's a wonderful song, and I'm just glad someone was listening! Thanks.
