  12:07pm
Danne D:

  12:09pm
Richard from Venezuela:

Greetings Irene. All the luck with the pledges.
  12:12pm
Richard from Venezuela:

Perfect this Blackshaw's tune.
  12:12pm
βrian:

I never get tired of this James Blackshaw.
  12:13pm
aaron in chicago:

whoa, where did the last 10 minutes just go
  12:14pm
pierre:

Bonjour Irene,
Bonjour Dennis
like Richard from Venezuela said, good luck with the pledges !

WFMU is RADIO !
  12:14pm
hamburger in Hong Kong:

howdy / wow - this is some departure from Amanda :)
  12:14pm
Dale from North Dakota:

What a great song, thanks Irene! I see on iTunes that "The Glass Bead Game" has song titles -- the fourth being "Key". Is that correct? I want to get the album, but the right one!
  12:20pm
Richard from Venezuela:

Totally agree with dennis. Be a music melomaniac (and consequent DJ) is a lifestyle. The best lifestyle ever.
  12:21pm
βrian:

I just heard a hrududu on that field recording.
  12:22pm
minnesota jeff:

hrududu?
  12:26pm
βrian:

Aye, hrududu. The bane of the day-dreaming rabbit.
  12:31pm
aaron in chicago:

goodnight, everyone.
  12:32pm
Richard from Venezuela:

  12:38pm
AnAnonymousParty:

Is that 12-string guitar?
  12:39pm
Tommi from Finland:

It's was a great pleasure to donate money for wfmu. This radio-station is even better than one of my regularly listened stations (wprk) which is pretty excellent station too.
  12:39pm
Irene:

Thanks Kay! That's my adoption picture, and I can be yours for a Mouse of today pledge ($365). Nobody's taken me (sniff!)
  12:39pm
βrian:

Yes, 12-string. And 16 fingers, I think.
  12:42pm
aaron in chicago:

loox om booorrr
  12:43pm
AnAnonymousParty:

Love 12 string guitar sound, I've got one and played it for years. Hard to play well, not because it's fundamentally different from 6-string, but takes more left hand effort. I'm-a gonna be pledging just from hearing that.
  12:44pm
yair yona (tel aviv):

for those who're interested - I posted an skype interview with James Blacksaw in my blog, you're all invited (only after Irene's show ends)

http://en.smalltownromanceblog.com/an-audio-interview-with-james-blackshaw-and-couple-of-words-about-all-is-falling/
  12:47pm
yair yona (tel aviv):

thanks Irene - and here's the post about WFMU (And why you shuold all pledge)

http://en.smalltownromanceblog.com/why-it-is-crucial-to-donate-to-wfmu/
  12:47pm
Bill, a fan from Carteret:

  12:56pm

  1:10pm

  1:14pm
Danne D:

  1:16pm
Bas, NL:

Just helping the family! ;)
  1:23pm
tim:

hey, where can I find a playlist of what's playing on the Give the Drummer stream right now?
  1:31pm
Irene:

Tim, I think you can only see what's being streamed. i don't know if there's a playlist other than that. I will check and see.
  1:32pm
yair yona (tel aviv):

White Magic is a nice album, like everything Steve Kilby touches. though, the previous album was better imho
  1:36pm
beth:

hi Irene! sounds great :)
xo
  1:38pm
tim:

Thank you, Irene. Great stuff you're playing here, too.
  1:38pm
paulshrug:

Good Lord do I love this East River Pipe song
  1:50pm
KM:

Yair, when are you crossing the atlantic so can we hear you do a life set on Irene's show? It's gotta happen.
  2:05pm
minnesota jeff:

Ohhhhh man! I had to turn my speaker down for a few minutes and I missed Procul Harum!
  2:06pm
Cheri Pi:

Whoa, I never knew the Bee Gees sounded like this! I love it!
  2:06pm
AnAnonymousParty:

This can't be the Bee Gees, we're not locked into an 8-count with a walking bass line.
  2:07pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

First couple of Bee Gees records have some pretty good stuff, but also some junk
  2:07pm
nic:

was that a mellotron? gives it a Popol Vuh vibe.
  2:08pm
Irene:

The Bee Gees were once a wonderful pop band. Then disco happened.Such a shame!
  2:09pm
Nathan:

The bee gees will surprise you... check out the double LP Odessa. 'I laugh in your face' is one of my personal fav's... some definite junk though. But I respect the brothers.
  2:10pm
Carmichael:

I fully agree re: Odessa. It's a wonderful catalogue that charts the entire Bee Gees history.
  2:11pm
AnAnonymousParty:

"Then disco happened", heh. Wiped out the dinosaurs and all.
  2:16pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

nah, a few dinosaurs survived, and then evolved
  2:16pm
Danne D:

I think the dinosaurs came back a few years later going by the name Asia :D
  2:17pm
yair yona (tel aviv):

Irene is my queen of Monday evenings. new Monday, same queen. 52 times a year. a lot of responsibility!
  2:17pm
AnAnonymousParty:

There's a "City of breasts" in France? I knew there was a place in France where the ladies wear no pants...
  2:18pm
Danne D:

And why yes, Asia HAS been played on FMU:
http://wfmu.org/artistbrowser.php?action=artist&artist=Asia&artist_id=158185
  2:19pm
AnAnonymousParty:

Yeah, but ASIA was animatronic dinosaurs, hardly the real deal.
  2:21pm
Carmichael:

Right, the real deal was Rod Stewart.
  2:24pm
eyenoise:

If you're in Studio A, I have dibs on the microphone! http://www.flickr.com/photos/wfmu/2248699067/in/set-72157603873576097/
  2:25pm
Danne D:

This would be a good Hoof N Mouth song :)
  2:26pm
Irene:

I'm actually in Studio B. That might still be up for grabs
  2:26pm
Danne D:

AAP - that would explain how Carl Palmer has been able to keep his form even in his advancing years - guy is still a beast.
  2:29pm
eyenoise:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/wfmu/2248674835/in/set-72157603873576097/
  2:34pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

I like this song. I keep seeing the name "The Low Anthem" in various places but hadn't heard them until now.
  2:39pm
Carmichael:

I adopted the live mixing board, but Studio B may still be available.
  2:44pm
βrian:

Here's another: Irène, Irène, la reine sereine.
  2:50pm
tomB:

Thanks for LOVE, D&T. It was the difference in the rebalance of the instro fill after each line in LSwD that convinced me the MONO collection was not enough.
  2:51pm
wigwambam:

Wooster! I know where that is! O-H-I-O
