Mornin Jeff. Looking forward to more Noise and Syrup. Might pass out at some point during the three hours, I'm tired.
  3:07am

Feeling warm and soothed by Noise and Syrup and sweet Sunday porridge.
  4:00am

Love the sounds already! Good morning Jeff; good morning all.
  4:26am
Looms:

These Dead Machines are very much alive to me. Excellent!
  4:29am
jeff-m:

yeah , that felt good
  4:55am
Bas, NL:

Gawww... Time to get that great Lustmord CD from the cupboard again.. Awesome!
  4:57am
jeff-m:

  4:57am
jeff-m:

playing here in NYC next Sunday
  5:00am
Bas, NL:

Great! I sorely had to give his concert in Europe a miss just a while back. I was told i had missed something exceptional...
  5:06am
jeff-m:

I'm really curious to hear and I'm sure feel it too. Hopefully I won't decide to be lazy that day
  5:12am
Bas, NL:

Lustmord concerts are very rare. But only if you really like the Dark Ambient stuff you should go.
  5:14am
Looms:

Wow wow wow! Must get a copy of this Jana Winderen. I'm not familiar with her work yet but it seems to match with my concrete music liking.
Another great stuff on Touch rec...
  5:18am
jeff-m:

I really recommend this album a lot.
  5:19am
Looms:

btw, do you make a difference between "concrete music" and "field recording"? To me concrete music is field recordings put together and rearranged.
  5:23am
jeff-m:

I guess that sounds about right.
  5:23am
jeff-m:

that track it's a little hard to tell what's above water and below. Except for the obvious I guess
  5:27am
Looms:

Let's hang around with the mystery...

Wikipedia proves me right with field recording/concrete music.
  5:30am
Ron, Amsterdam:

Concrete music has not (per se) anything to do with field recording... Concrete music points at the way the sounds are recorded and organized... Mostly in a very dry way.
  5:31am
Bas, NL:

"Sinkhole' by Olhon springs to mind. Fantastic CD based on recordings from a diving vessel,
And on the discussion; isn't it more like 'created sound' vs 'found sound'? There is almost always some arrangement involved..
  5:33am
jeff-m:

I think we all are sort of trying to say the same thing with out all the typing
  5:34am
jeff-m:

don't know that one Bas
  5:35am
Bas, NL:

*nod* ;)
  5:39am
Bas, NL:

Sinkhole is out on Eibon Records. Very nice label.
  5:59am
Looms:

Thx Jeff!
  6:04am
Bas, NL:

Thanks Jeff!
