Listener comments!

  3:13am
Looms:

Hello Jeff! Hello syrup!
  3:14am
Joe McG:

Hey, good morning
  3:14am
jeff-m:

forgot to change the name...
  3:17am
Looms:

Did you? Maybe you are Joe's doppelgänger... Brrrrr!
  3:21am
jeff-m:

after his show, he puts on a really long song and then goes and gets into "jeff" character
  3:26am
Matt from Springfield:

@jeff: I like that your first songs are always so long, gives you time to shift the mood and gives us the time to space out to something without interruption!
  3:57am
D. Blumin:

Looooooooms! Maaaaaaaattttt! Jeeeeffffffffffff! Hello!
  4:00am
Looms:

Daniel! Greetings!
  4:00am
Matt from Springfield:

Hello Daniel Bluuuuuuuuuuuuumin!
Another great night @WFMU!
  4:10am
D. Blumin:

Yeah! I can't believe I'm still here! Drifting in space just above Studio A!
  4:16am
RobotBoy:

As I like to say (to myself, primarily), WFMU puts all the best stuff on in the early 'morn. (I'm including Mr. Blumin in that, even though his is technically a late night and not early morning show.)
  4:18am
jeff-m:

thank Robot, nice of you to say
  4:19am
Bas, NL:

Hi Jeff! The best sounds as usual! And i have to stop by Helen Scarsdale's again soon; what a beautiful new release..
  4:23am
D. Blumin:

Thanks, Robotboy! Did the early morns fer a few years! So I am proud to be included!
Bas! You don't sleep much now do ye?
  4:23am
jeff-m:

yeah, I really like this a lot. Have to pick up a copy for myself
  4:26am
Bas, NL:

@Daniel Ha, ha.. Including the time i slept with WFMU still on my headphones i think a good eight hours ;D Did you get some sleep AT ALL??
  4:28am
Looms:

My neighbours' cat says meeow!
This little bastard seems to be very intrested by this kind of ambient stuff (apart from food and company). It's now the third time in two weeks that he settles down and looks at the space between the loudspeakers. I wish i knew what he sees...
  4:29am
D. Blumin:

Nope - Bas, I figure I should wait till Jeff's done... Then take the train home!

Looms, he sees a bunch of sine wave holograms of cat food, of course!
  4:31am
Looms:

MEEEOW!!!
Man, he didn't like the wild cut! :D
  4:32am
Looms:

He's gone!
  4:33am
Looms:

But hey, this is my introduction album with H3O. Brilliant record.
  4:33am
RobotBoy:

Mental note: Hafler Trio - Song 2 is "cat b gone" music.
  4:33am
jeff-m:

haha , wasn't intentional, but i thought that might scare him away
  4:33am
Bas, NL:

Now there's dedication, Daniel. Do have a safe journey home.. And hi Looms!
  4:34am
Looms:

Morning Bas!
  4:42am
Nik:

one of my favorite hafler trio segments
  4:47am
jeff-m:

I really love this album , and my CD player at home won't play it for some reason. Been a while since I've heard it.
  4:47am
RobotBoy:

Do the Hafler Trio have any connection to the Thompson Twins? Besides the obvious sonic connection, I mean. You spin me right round baby, right round.
  4:49am
RobotBoy:

Ah crap, I got my 80s references mixed up. Damn the damnable lack of an edit function. That was Dead or Alive who did that song. You can thank Sam Adams for that one.
  4:50am
Looms:

Great great record. Purchased it on advice to a Semantic records shop dealer at the time (amongst other things) when i began to be interested in 'experimental' music. She did the hell of a job, still love everything i bought there that day. Wish the record was still open...
  4:51am
Looms:

Wish the record SHOP was still open
  5:07am
D. Blumin:

Looms you bought Dead or Alive at Semantic?
Fantastic!
Robotboy, Pete Burns, now there's a vocalist!
  5:10am
Looms:

@Daniel: i don't think so :)
  5:18am
Bas, NL:

Now you mention them, RobotBoy! I bought a Thompson Twins single at record fair yesterday. It was in a cheapo bin. I love cheapo bins... ;)
  5:24am
Looms:

As far as i'm concerned, 'you spin me round' is a pretty good pop song though.
  5:24am
D. Blumin:

Hope it was Runaway, Bas!!!
  5:27am
Bas, NL:

It was 'Love on your side'. I would have loved to have picked up Runaway though,, BTW, the fair was unfair: so many great albums at staggering prices.
  5:27am
D. Blumin:

It's a great song, Looms. No two ways about it! One of these days, it'll be covered by Miley... Mark my words...
  5:27am
Looms:

btw, i was talking about h3o, Daniel.
  5:30am
D. Blumin:

as opposed to h2o by hall and oates...
  5:32am
Looms:

But hey, i'm looking further to listen to the Spin me round cover by Blumin/Mullan duo next marathon!
  5:33am
jeff-m:

haha, song will always remind me of my grade school dances
  5:34am
Bas, NL:

Kapotte Muziek are fantastic on stage. They're so dedicated to sound it is almost a religious experience
  5:35am
D. Blumin:

Terrific idea, Looms. Mullan, make a mental note!
That's a cool grade school you went to... I recall Bryan Adams...
  5:41am
Looms:

Believe it or not, but my school time parties were filled with Joy Division, Depeche Mode, Cure and Minimal Compact. Does it make me a lucky person?
  5:43am
Bas, NL:

Yes Looms!
  5:44am
D. Blumin:

Looms, I feel sorry for you - you missed out on Peter Schilling, the aforementioned Bryan Adams, and Huey Lewis. And that's just the first 7 songs...
  5:47am
Looms:

Oh man, i'll check their music out, Daniel! And will pass on your advice to every FMU listener too.
  5:49am
D. Blumin:

Hell yeah! The heart of rock n roll's still beatin', Looms!
  5:56am
Looms:

I hear you! From now on, i'm a commercial radio station addict...
  5:57am
Looms:

Thanks Jeff, great show as always.
  5:58am
Bas, NL:

Too good, too short. Loved the show!
  5:59am
jeff-m:

thanks , happy Sunday
  6:00am
Looms:

:D
