Listener comments!

  9:11am Scott:

Good morning happy people.
  9:15am bruceleh:

Right out of the gate, Scott pulls his roscoe out of his strap.
  9:17am Scott:

Seemed like a good way to begin...
  9:38am Scott:

Question of the day: what Cecil Taylor should I play for the Hey Cecil! installment at 11?
  9:57am BSI:

Cecil's NEW YORK CITY R&B has been a favorite LP for a long time 'round BSI headquarters.
  9:58am bruceleh:

Erzulie Maketh Scent
  9:58am Scott:

Oooh NYC R&B, haven't heard that in ages.
  10:00am Scott:

Erzulie Maketh Scent is another great suggestion!
  10:02am Maria T:

  10:02am Chris from DC:

In the meantime this Black Motor record is amazing.
  10:27am pgw in mntclr:

i'm a fan of Cecil's 2 Blue Note albums, as well as those 2 4tet albums with Silva on bass.
  10:28am Scott:

Unit Structures was my gateway drug!
  10:34am pgw in mntclr:

yes! i think i started with his solo stuff for some reason.. i haven't really listened to those in some time. may have to dig those up.
  10:37am scargoth:

I'm partial to "3 Phases" It's a hour long and will take you to the noon hour.
  10:42am pgw in mntclr:

"3 Phases" is bananas, in a good way of course
  10:57am ╬▓rian:

Son, what in heaven's name are you doing in there?
  11:03am Dead Corporate Eyes:

did someone just drop some sheet metal?
  11:08am Hugo:

Bananas in 3 phases ...
  11:09am pgw in mntclr:

...all yellow
  11:11am Dead Corporate Eyes:

green, yellow, black
  11:16am Mike East:

I'm surprised that there hasn't been more promotion of the Joe Frank show on the 28th except for the week that tickets went on sale. For me, that's huge. There wasn't even any mention of it on the mailer that went out. Is anyone else going?
  11:17am Scott:

It's sold out, I know that.
  11:18am Kenzo:

Jealous, won't be in town for Joe Frank show. Sounds amazing. Sold out!
  11:19am Mike East:

Right on. I'm glad I got my tix early. I'm so fuckin' excited and I keep bragging to people that have no clue what I'm talking about.
  11:20am Mike East:

I guess there's not much point in promoting a sold out show.
  11:28am PKNY:

Any day that I get to hear Pharoah Sanders is a good day.
  11:37am Hugo:

Indeed! With Sonny Sharrock!
  11:40am Pat in Philadelphia:

Just tuned in. This Pharaoh Sanders track is unbelievable!
  11:41am Scott:

  11:41am ?:

  11:45am greg in dc:

nice - I was lucky enough to see and hear Sun Ra (w/ Don Cherry opening) at the Danceteria a few hundred years ago.
  11:49am Scott:

  11:50am Scott:

I missed him completely. Seen the Arkestra handful of times. Still wonderful.
  11:50am Scott:

I'll catch him one day on Saturn.
  11:57am Marmalade Kitty:
