Actually, this year it was published that Finland now has become the European country with the biggest economic disparity between the rich and poor. Maybe we need our own Occupy movement (though there have been a few isolated Occupy protests here too).

But in recent years, especially this year, some things have been going downhill. Still, compared to the US, I think most European countries are decidedly egalitarian. Obama would be considered a right-winger here, so it's hilarious hearing people in the US call him a socialist.

So, you're just resenting other people are getting money handed to them instead of you!

All of the top 4 candidates (and actually, all of the other candidates too) would be considered left-wingers in the US. Even the right-wing ones. Then again, our current president used to be the president of the Finnish equivalent of GLAAD, which I don't see happening in the US.

For music, I'd recommend Leningrad Cowboys or Mika Kaurismäki's new Cesaria Evora documentary "Mother Africa". For humanism, "La Vie de Boheme", "Le Havre" or the trilogy of "Drifting Clouds", "The Man Without a Past" and "Lights in the Dusk". The trilogy really expresses his feelings about society and people the best.
	6:55pm Kudos Clay: Your coverage of OWS will go down in history as being the only forthright, honest, and relatively unbiased reporting produced by any person with a microphone. The 'revolution may be televised' with corporate distortion but you I can trust.

All of the top 4 candidates (and actually, all of the other candidates too) would be considered left-wingers in the US. Even the right-wing ones. Then again, our current president used to be the president of the Finnish equivalent of GLAAD, which I don't see happening in the US.

	6:49pm Clay: One problem I have with the sdigital recorder is that I can't hold it like I did my micro-cassette, so I ended up covering the mic nearest me a lot of the time. That's why it's muffled.

	6:54pm Caryn: @kata: depends what you're looking for. For dark comedy, I'd recommend "Matchfactory Girl" or "Hamlet Goes Business". For music, I'd recommend Leningrad Cowboys or Mika Kaurismäki's new Cesaria Evora documentary "Mother Africa". For humanism, "La Vie de Boheme", "Le Havre" or the trilogy of "Drifting Clouds", "The Man Without a Past" and "Lights in the Dusk". The trilogy really expresses his feelings about society and people the best.
