  9:41am
Mariano:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:42am
Scott:

Also on Any Other City but I think it's a diff version???? Maybe. Any Other City is freaking amazing. Get it----you won't be sorry.
  9:45am
Mariano:

Thanks Scott! Searching now...
  9:46am
pgw in mntclr:

is there a version of it on the their live album? that live album is so wonderfully jittery.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:48am
Scott:

Probably on there, yes. I don't have it in front of me but I would bet.
  9:50am
max:

I wonder when Bob Dylan's 80s and onward material is gonna get some attention, that song was pretty great. His shitty stuff is probably better than people give it credit for
  9:51am
northguineahills:

@max: This (or I concur)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:52am
Scott:

Well, there's always a couple decent songs even on the shitty 80s records for sure!
  10:03am
northguineahills:

I have an Invisible Circle cassette. This was supra nice as well.
  10:06am
northguineahills:

In the middle of the Google Image Search for Sue Thompkins, There was a picture of Rammellzee. weird.
  10:12am
Mariano:

What about the John Butcher the guitarist? I remember in the 80s some people thought he was the second coming of Hendrix.
  10:14am
Mr Donut:

Then there was Eric Gales.
  10:15am
Cheri Pi:

I love this song!
  10:16am
max:

Yeah this is awesome!!
  10:19am
max:

This too
  10:20am
northguineahills:

Wow, Medicine. They've been played twice this week. Don't think I've heard them on WFMU before.
  10:25am
Cheri Pi:

this was described as bacon radio music by the illustrious BSI yesterday...
  10:27am
jack m.:

hey scott, sounding good! nice way to jump start the weekend.
  10:31am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

is this some kind of reggae-sampler pack tour?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33am
Scott:

Something like that.
  10:33am
BSI:

"Illustrious," eh? I must bathe more often. Mental note...
  10:36am
mike tp:

JEHOSEPHAT wasnt that used in a comedy setting great tune
  10:37am
Nathan:

Nice Scott. I hear Shackleton in the background.. that album has been ruling my world lately.
  10:48am
Mike East:

Good morning and happy Friday! We all gonna sing the same song...we all gonna jam the same jam.
  10:49am
BSI:

diggin' the dub.
please proceed.
  10:57am
max:

wish i had weed
  10:58am
Mike East:

dub'll do that to you, max.
  11:01am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

everyone got their Facebook IPO shares? trading is about to commence.
  11:02am
max:

Too true
  11:03am
BSI:

Considering all the bankable content I've provided FB, I'll be expecting a hefty dividend check immediately.
  11:04am
fred:

@DCE: I hear that will cement their trademark on the letter 'f'. I might have to become red then
  11:10am
fred:

FB has a better homophone in French: fessebouc. Look for images to see what that means. As the best known image involves spanking a billy goat, this might prove popular in Chicago
  11:13am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

haha, I like the one where the bird is eating goat ass.
  11:18am
BSI:

Brilliant Niney...
  11:22am
Marmalade Kitty:

Hi Scott & all!! loving the Dub
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:23am
Scott:

hi!
  11:24am
fred:

I can't stand reggae, but I really like dub. I've always felt that way, which is puzzling to many
  11:27am
BSI:

@fred: agreed. I can tolerate reggae at best, whereas King Tubby, Scientist, etc., I can eat all day...
  11:32am
Mike East:

straight up reggae is more about the words and vocals. dub is more about the sounds. Occupies a different headspace. I like both, but I understand why some might prefer one over the other.
  11:35am
fred:

The closest I'll get to reggae is Armagideon Time, and even there, despite the vocals I've always felt it was closer to dub than to reggae. If that makes sense
  11:37am
fred:

Laura Cantrell! Great! She might be the WFMU DJ who most expanded my mind
  11:38am
clyde stubblefield:

Saw Lee "scratch" @ Gramercy last night... lile changing - he can even make a bad white DJ sound good
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:38am
Scott:

That's high praise, fred!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:39am
Scott:

Laura's awesome.
  11:39am
The Log Lady:

Hi Scott! The log has a special message for you today; did you follow it's directive? :-)
  11:41am
fred:

Well, it's about cultural differences. I'm french, so country was like a joke to me before I heard her show.
Now my countrymen laugh at me when I say I like it. I don't care.
  11:42am
jaypee:

Hell yes. It's my day off and Scott is just killing it today. Thanks!
  11:43am
fred:

If that was the message from the log, I think it's a very appropriate Twin Peaks reference
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:44am
Scott:

Thanks Log Lady! I did remember.
  11:46am
The Log Lady:

Thanks, Scott! Don't mind me, I'm just being extra attentive to the logs this week. Carry on with the excellence!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:46am
Scott:

:)
  11:49am
clyde stubblefield:

really - nobody in nYC went to see Dub daddy... shame
  11:52am
fred:

@clyde: did you go? if so, how was it?
  11:53am
Daniel:

Too busy seein Cecil Taylor to see Dub Daddy, man.
  11:54am
clyde stubblefield:

best damn command, stage presence - ever- he still drops it stearn every time- cecil lives in NY - can see him anywhere
  11:54am
fred:

It's been too long since the last Cecil segment on this show
  11:56am
BSI:

heard about the Cecil thing yesterday. My kingdom for a matter-transferrance beam. Must've been excellent.
  11:57am
Daniel:

@fred C'est sure. @BSI It was transcendent. He's playing in Bklyn tomorrow - beg, borrow or steal, cause it'll be worth it!
  11:57am
fred:

@clyde: and I'm glad to hear a positive review of a Lee "scratch" Perry show. I had heard he was mailing it in at gigs in Europe, that was disturbing
  11:58am
Nathan:

Thanks Scott!
  11:58am
?:

double dub!
  11:59am
fred:

Great show Scott! Hear you next week
