Martyn:

Good morning Bill and all.

And Spencer ... and Brian.
  3:07am
SpBrian in UK:

Apologies for the dog, Bill. Had no idea he could type or had maths skills. Hope you are keepin' well.

Brian in UK:

Great to see Steve Krinsky is following you.
  3:10am
Brian in UK:

I'm barely conscious Martyn. Do not know how Bill does it.
  3:11am
Martyn:

I'm guessing coffee and the promise of a bagel.
  3:13am
Martyn:

... at least you can leave the talking to Spencer.

Morning guys. Had to drive most of the way up in the rain myself. Not so bad, given the fact that the road crews aren't out clogging midnight traffic. Two hours of shuteye tonite, and a load of caffeine oughtta be good for the next few hours... yep - then the magic bagel at sun up. You might wanna get the dog a job Bri - he should be earning his keep!

The Royals do seem a bit clueless don't they? At least the kids seem a bit more involved with regular folks, but who can afford all that window dressing at this stage?

You can even Like it

  4:04am
Stanley:

Bill - its obscene. The kids are clueless yahoos too, having spent their lives up to now in elitist schools and circles where everyone just fawns around them. They stand for the overprivilaged and underserving rich of this country.
  4:06am
Jay /London:

hey is it time we all sing alone with god save the queen by the sex pistols ?
Avatar 4:06am

I thought I'd give them the benefit but yeah you're absolutely right. I don't get the general public's obsession of people that have money.... cause they hate the general public

Oh Stanley everyone's getting on the bandwagon
  4:19am
Stanley:

@ Jay, good to see that the Sex Pistols refused the request that they 'performed' as part of the pageant (as if they were some qaint aberration from the past) I want people to know we were not happy with the establishment then, and we're not happy now.
Avatar 4:19am
Bill Mac:

That's right Jay... Come on, plenty of room for everybody!
  4:20am
Emile:

Hey anyone else saddened by the demise of Ween? They were one of the only contemporary band that I would buy any new record by. They petered out but made some records I'll be listening to for years...
  4:22am
Emile:

Wow, I missed William Parker, DAF, AND Crimson... serves me right for showing up late..
  4:22am
Jay /London:

Yes Emile... stop me if you heard this before, but I saw them at a small club in Philadelphia near where they lived. Their families were there. They were brilliant as well. I don't listen must anymore but I think the Pod is one of the best double albums (I first saw it on LP) ever made... too bad but 15 years, you can't argue with that.
  4:27am
Emile:

Cool, Bill... The Pod came out in 1991, so we're talking 21 years ago.... I'll take White Pepper, Quebec, and 12 Country Greats on my iPod skull implant when it's time to go to the nursing home....

Avatar 5:21am

I hope so.... i don't know how many thousands of orders they got to ship out every year but it's all done here by a handful of people. It couldn't hurt to hit the swag director up for a target date.

@Stanley That's on the new one. I've been following him for about 10 years, he plays here maybe once or twice a year (now that he's pushing 50!) There's an in-studio he did on Brian Turners show from about 5 years or so back...
  5:33am
Brian in UK:

Bill seeing the Starless & Bible Black reminded me that it came from the opening of Dylan Thomas' Under Milk Wood. Narrated by Richard Burton, a wonderful use of the English language.
