Houston must be miserable and unbearable! everywhere else is.
  9:43am
Sandy in Houston:

This summer's been really nice, actually. Mid 90s mostly, plenty of rain to cool things down in the evening.
  9:44am
DCE:

weird how that works, isn't it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:44am
Scott:

A sign 'o the times that Houston is "comfortable" in the summer.
  9:47am
Sandy in Houston:

It is nice. Got to hang out with Christian Marclay at an ice house Wednesday night - super rad. (:

  10:12am
Cecile:

Where is my Oddities comp already?
  10:12am
Berg:

the "X ray burns"? What a name... reminds me of the time when people thought that Hans Blix and the weapons inspectors were an indie rock band.
  10:13am
DCE:

weren't they?
  10:13am
Cecile:

Ahhhhhh. This was on the Great Unwashed album in a more "slick" version. Great stuff.

  10:40am
DCE:

just read that London has installed surface-to-air missile launchers on various apartment buildings around the site. Wow, UK, a little nervous over there?
  10:42am
hamburger:

not nervous - just megabucks for the security business
  10:43am
Chris from DC:

Nice. The Expo 70 track on that split is a beast.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:45am
Scott:

I'll have to take a listen to that one.
  10:45am
LowBrow:

Date Palm: like a date at home alone ...
  10:50am
BSI:

Jumping catastrophic weevil-gods, this Date Palms track...
  10:52am
Jay/ London:

@ DCE + jets on standby and a warship moored on the river
  10:52am
Sometimes Jasmine:

Ah this is gorgeous.... going on my list....

Re Olympics: London is tripping. Yesterday, on my way to work, I had to weave through a hundred hula dancers dressed as 50s style cabin crew to find the passengers at Kings Cross Station all dancing to musak pumped at ear-split... security hysteria everywhere... it's like London is on mushrooms and keeps swaying between disneyland and paranoia. We may all be in a modern retelling of Gravity's Rainbow.
  10:54am
Sometimes Jasmine:

But at least it gives us Londoners something else to talk about to each other instead of the bloody weather! We're all quite united in shock, awe and unease.
  10:55am
Danny Deepo:

niceness
  10:55am
DCE:

aha, here comes Friday guy.
  10:55am
Jay/ London:

@ sometimes Jasmine thats why i have taken the time off its all going a bit mad here
  10:57am
Sr_Hairy_hymen:

How come no one is broadcasting from the Global Gathering in England this weekend?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:00am
Scott:

Got rid of that comment for ye DCE.
  11:00am
DCE:

I'm sure there will be plenty more, Scott. Thanks.
  11:01am
ranjit:

One nice thing about drone music is that you can totally hum Hipnosis on top of it most of the time, when Hipnosis is still stuck in your head.
  11:01am
jt:

got my swag a few days ago. really enjoying red hot iron ball. if you dissected boris' feedbacker and laid out the parts on a table, it might be red hot iron ball. great mix of completely different stuff that somehow shares a certain ethos
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:03am
Scott:

Cool! Thanks, I really try to make those premiums interesting so that means a lot.
  11:09am
Cecile:

Londoners, it sounds like the Olympicsi s a crazed, amp-ed up version of Ann Arbor's notorious Art Fair in the 80s (hundreds of thousands of people converge on a college town in the sleepiest part of the year.) The people watching was fun, as was the opportunity to avoid real work and babysit the outdoors sale table at my job. But we all hid at home that week - no room in the clubs or restaurants. Only music we'd see would be those bands playing for free outside a store.
  11:10am
Cecile:

You want to get out and enjoy your city, but you can't!
  11:10am
adamp:

Hi Scott, nice track!
  11:11am
Olympic Committee 2016:

Hmmm....Ann Arbor, Minneapolis...
  11:11am
Cecile:

hahhahaha
  11:15am
Marmalade Kitty:

Hi Scott, listeners ! Sounding good
  11:15am
Sometimes Jasmine:

@Cecile: we're already seeing lots of places closing up for "private events" and receptions but I try not to take these things perosnally. Plenty of down-sides, but I am looking forward to a healthy dose of mayhem and disorientation!
  11:17am
Cecile:

It will be a true once in a lifetime experience.
  11:19am
Brian in UK:

Cecile. So is dying. Did I just write that.
  11:22am
bruceleh:

I'm an atheist, but I will say "God forbid that they bring the Olympics to NYC"
  11:24am
Cecile:

hahahhaha, Brian.
  11:25am
Chris from DC:

I can only imagine the nightmare the Olympics here would be.
  11:26am
bruceleh:

Yeah, DC is already locked down enough
  11:27am
BSI:

I have a relative who lived in suburban Atlanta during those Olympics. And behold, it was the sucketh.
  11:27am
BSI:

...and by the way, it's taken a few weeks but I've decided that GOLDEN RETRIEVER is an oddly genius goddamned name.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:28am
Scott:

Yeah, I know what you mean!
  11:29am
DCE:

love the music, but the name makes me think of my brother's damned manic dog
  11:32am
Sometimes Jasmine:

I'm heading out to gawp at London-under-siege.

Great show Scott...

May your weekends be good....

  11:51am
DCE:

thx ag'in
  11:58am
DCE:

well, there may be some truth to that, strictly platonic, however. Have a great weekend, Scott.

Ike:

Just tuned in during Dolphins Into the Future -- wow! Very nice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06pm
