Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

the 2 parties have abandoned the middle class...
I've read the Green Parties platform and I'm afraid I'll be "throwing my vote away" on the www.gp.org...
I hope that doesn't mean another 2001 '100' vote Florida debacle allowing Romney to slide in, but I got to vote my heart this time. Obama's NDAA and Trans-Pacific Partnership(TPP) passage along with his lassiez-fare approach to the BP oil volcano have alienated me from his administration.

What disturbs me, looking at the US from across the pond is, it seems like everyone says they "love America" but a vaste swathe of people actually hate other Americans, simply because they support a different party.
And the facts don't seem to really matter, if the right-wing narrative is that Obama is a socialist, well, Obama is a socialist, and they ignore any and all evidence to the contrary.
Mercifully though, there's Jon Stewart :)

Probably old news for a true political wonk, but I'd still recommend it.

@philo: agreed - it's a shame so many christians aren't err.. more christian.. to people of a different viewpoint. That Jesus guy seemed pretty nice!

I transcribed that intro and posted it back in December, but wanted to post it again here, on the one year anniversary of me (and most of us other regulars here) actually finding out about OWS. I remember it well; at first I thought it was just another interesting Manhattan protest on the Dusty Show, but was so thrilled when it grew into the international Occupy movement. I'm also thrilled at this episode bringing the energy of Occupy back--and the return of Brendan! Lauren with the not-so-blue-anymore hair! And the other friends we've met in the past year.
Matt from Springfield:
And who else to explore this new direction with than yourself, Clay! Such dedication, sensitivity, and consideration of all points of view. Just like your other episodes, this one showed how reasonable people can be, even if they have a different viewpoint (and how idiots can also be found among every viewpoint! ;) But as I sit here in Delaware, on my "reformist capitalist" vacay, I wish I could have live commented for this show, but feel so glad after listening to your Archive. Take care, Clay and fans! We are the 99 percent! And, always remember.
