  12:13am
amEdeo:

  12:14am
Julie:

Therese:

Like Suze Orman says, pay yourself first! And Happy BIRTHDAY!
  12:19am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

My family only gives gifts to the under-18 crowd. I have to figure out what a ten year old and a six month old are into these days.
  12:22am
Julie:

we do a big gift exchange game now. girls buy for a girl, guys for a guy, people pick one at random. and if the next person whose turn it wants THAT, they steal it. I've lost some neat stuff that way
  12:24am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

A belated Happy Birthday, Julie!
  12:24am
Julie:

He will sing them songs about parties and fix it all
  12:25am
Julie:

Thanks BGZ!
  12:26am
flashback:

happy belated birthday from me also , julie
  12:28am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

I ordered the single-disc of that VU re-release just to get the Ty Segall/VU flexi.
  12:30am
Julie:

I know he's nothing like him, but I always picture Andrew WK looking like Dice clay
  12:30am
flashback:

velvet underground is definatly underplayed on the radio
  12:32am
Julie:

on the radio or on WFMU?
  12:32am
flashback:

by the way,hello everyone
  12:33am
flashback:

underplayed in general
Avatar 12:33am
Therese:

Julie- I was about to ask flashback the same question!
  12:35am
Julie:

Because I know a fair amount of DJ's that play from that album. I've yet to explore their other ones though.
  12:36am
flashback:

i cant speak for wfmu because i only occasionally listen but it is definatly too obscure for most radio
  12:43am
Julie:

VU is obscure? really? I heard about them a ton before I ever listened to them.
  12:44am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

:munches popcorn:
  12:45am
amEdeo:

Popcorn?!??! That sounds like an excellent idea!
....Oh no, now I am hungry.
  12:46am
Tom - K'way Bklyn:

  12:48am
Julie:

Mmm Moodies, Floyd and Popcorn..my kinda trifecta (and I just had popcorn BTW)
Avatar 12:49am
Therese:

Popcorn....
  12:54am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

Now I have Hot Butter's "Popcorn" going through my head. I brought this on myself and accept full responsibility.

  1:11am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

Did anyone pick up any of the Record Store Day "Black Friday" releases?
Avatar 1:13am
Therese:

I bought that scratchy Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell 45 and a copy of Heavy Metal Parking lot. Does that count?
  1:19am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

It does! I picked up the Mogwai remix record [no-brainer] and a few singles. I passed on the $75 Lee Hazlewood singles box set. For now anyway. I also picked up "Color Me Obsessed" - some sort of documentary about Replacements fans. I haven't had time to watch it yet.
  1:23am
KP:

Therese, i got everything not John Mayer.
  1:27am
amEdeo:

Weehoo! Congratulations! 100%!
  1:27am
Julie:

I don't think we have record store day in the Hill Country. I don't think we have record stores there. Gotta go to Walmart or hastings
  1:28am
Julie:

Yay Therese! wag wag wag
  1:36am
Julie:

Not a bad drive, really
  1:37am
Bob in DC and/or Virginia:

Congratulations, Therese! And I'm glad the station is so close to making up its losses. Sandy who?
  1:38am

Amazing music. And no one should ever give you a ticket.
  1:59am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

I feel like I should be at my grandparents' house drinking ginger ale while waiting for the ball in Times Square to drop.
  2:46am
Jack:

I am late to the party tonight but hello, awake listeners. And hello Therese. Happy for you that WTC will be up and running tomorrow.
Avatar 2:48am
Therese:

Hi Jack! You and me both. I hope the same can soon be said for the Hoboken station.
  2:52am
Jack:

Off the record, I'd heard Nov. 28 as the target date for Hobo. But Saturday's claim of "several weeks" seems to have negated that.
Avatar 2:53am
Therese:

Eek! Several weeks from yesterday?
  2:53am
Jack:

And also, this Neil Young sounds SWEET.
  2:56am
Jack:

The announcement was vague. We have to assume they're a FEW weeks into the process, don't we? And that they don't want to make a promise they can't fulfill. I'm becoming one of those weirdo New Jerseyans i've met over the years who don't venture into Manhattan.
Avatar 2:56am
Therese:

It's nice, right? Nostalgic and sad, but nice.
  2:57am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

My mom and I watched "Bye Bye Birdie" late, late Wednesday night [technically Thursday morning].
  2:58am
Jack:

And then you said bye bye to your Thanksgiving birdie. That too is sweet.
  2:59am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

Terrific show as always, Therese! Have a great week. Until next time...
  3:01am
KP:

Bye!
  3:29am
KP:

I was coming up driveway as you signed off. Loved hearing Neil even though have had CD in car for 2 weeks. See ya.
