Many years ago I lived in Tennessee in a town on the outskirts of Nashville. Red Skellton had some kind of a house made out of a WWII plane, Randy Travis was out and about often and could be seen and approached to often, plus lots of singer song writers around with their live in pot belly pigs as pets. All claiming to have written songs for Garth Brooks.

Racoons, three of them, big ones, on the doorstep, going for the cat's food, cat freaking out, trying to defend the bowl. Much fussing, shooing, growling, snarling. Cat and food inside now. Talk about yer spazzin.

Avatar 10:39pm Green Mountain Man Mark:

I remember one time many, many years ago me very young, delivering auto parts all over Nashville to body shops and such. I delivered a part to a garage and all of the employees of this place were having a hoot of a time in the garage. They told me to come see. There was a possum cornered in one of the garage bays. It was hissing and stinking. They all got a kick out of this and I was honored that they wanted me to come see it. As I was the lowly parts delivery guy.
  10:40pm Connie T. Empress:

  10:56pm Connie T. Empress:

I have an old photo somewhere of Jeff The Chef in Memphis with Jerry Lee: JLL is still in hospital scrubs from where he had escaped and ended up in the hotel playing piano: I think it was at The Peabody

  11:10pm Flex:

In the late 70's, my girlfriend and I were looking for a place to live.

We answered an ad for a small house on one of the canals on
the south shore of Long Island. We drove up the driveway past a large fancy house, and in the backyard was a miniature cottage. The ceiling height was barely over 6 feet (I'm 6'5). It was 2 stories. Downstairs was a living room/kitchen and upstairs was just raw.
there was no furniture, and the floors were just painted plywood. The kitchen used the smallest functional appliances you could get commercially.

We were fascinated by the idea of living in this tiny house and rang the door to the main house. A woman answered, we went into the living room which had lots of children's paintings hung on the wall. She said that they were all painted by her "little one" We never met the original occupant, but during our conversation, we realized that her "little one" was Kokomo!
Avatar 11:13pm Pine:

Wow Flex! Apestract art!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:14pm G:

Well, just how big of a washer-dryer would a simian really need? :)
Avatar 11:15pm Pine:

Reminds me of that creepy Neil Gaiman story about the tiny house with boys in cages, that really scared me.
  11:15pm RevolutionRabbitNov63:

Perfect.
  11:17pm Flex:

We wondered if she had cameras in there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:19pm G:

Before everyone had cams *everywhere*. The woman was ahead clearly ahead of her time
  11:25pm Flex:

I think she used the little house to train Kokomo for his roles.
  11:27pm RevolutionRabbitNov63:

...Cash was There When They Crucified My Lord...& when Hoss Did the Chores @ Bonanza...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:32pm G:

@Flex: and the Beach Boys even did a song about him
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:36pm G:

Fortunately, Kokomo never flipped his wig and tore her neighbor's face off
