Goooooood morning.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:04am ausmanx:

evening from the Antipodes Scott.. we lose summer time tomorrow, so the darkness closes in, but it means i get 2 hours of your show before going home at 1 a.m.!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:08am KevinfromBayRidge:

Good day all. Thanks for the perspective ausmanx. At least we're not losing summer time 'round here!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:13am Mike East:

I'll settle for spring at this point. Good morning, all
  9:13am common:

this reminds me of the 70's sci-fi movie Phase IV.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:30am ausmanx:

ah, deux filles, a couple of blokes in drag. there was a story that Brian Eno was behind it, but i'm not so sure...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:34am braveness23:

True confession. I worked at a public library in the art and music department for 10 years and I stole a John Cage book

Man, Ellen Allien is always bringing it.
Very inspiring.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:23am Ike:

Hey hey.
Avatar 10:28am Rev. Turnip Druid:

zee tempeh recipe! It haunts me so!
Avatar 10:30am Rev. Turnip Druid:

First up, however: Have this gigantic vat of concentrated prik khing curry paste, and twenty metric tons of tempeh. hm...
Avatar 10:33am Cheri Pi:

Damn I've got tempeh envy. I'm turning chimichuri green.
Avatar 10:33am Cheri Pi:

Fab 5 Freddy Fab 5 Freddy Fab 5 Freddy !!!
Avatar 10:34am Cecile:

those Celluloid records were so weird. Kind of in their own bubble.
Avatar 10:35am Cecile:

Fab 5 Freddy is still around.
He did the Saturday night show, and Dre and Ed Lover did the weekday one.
Avatar 10:35am Cecile:

And, man I don't know about you kids, but that was appointment TV for me.
Avatar 10:38am Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

@Cheri Pi: Will be trying that tempeh dish soon.
Avatar 10:38am jessss:

Ooh! Library Radio!
Avatar 10:39am Cecile:

Clay Pigeon himself made a nice power pop single back in the day.
Avatar 10:42am Cheri Pi:

Clay Pigeon had to. teeheehee
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:47am Jack Mello:

tuning in a little late, good to see some L.I.E.S. love. sounding good, as usual.
  10:56am Paul:

Don't forget some Parquet Courts today. I listen to their record all the time but it's great to hear it on the RADIO!
Avatar 11:06am βrian:

Tempeh. I refer to it as vegetarian liver. (But I do kind of like it ...)
Avatar 11:10am Rev. Turnip Druid:

Been a veg. since teenage years.... Was turned onto tempeh at a hippie cafe here (dc) in the '80s that did a tempeh ruben sandwich. It was like meeting the face of god. And turning away from it because I had this awesome sandwich.
Avatar 11:12am Cheri Pi:

The Tempeh Reuben was just perfectly described. Amen.
Avatar 11:14am Rev. Turnip Druid:

Of course I might have been hallucinating after guzzling a huge pint of freshly juiced carrots & beets. Fear & loathing at the hippie cafe. Great stuff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:16am Scott McDowell:

Hey Jack!
Avatar 11:16am βrian:

It was your Hadron Collider moment. What better than a tempeh reuben to represent cognitive dissonance. Mirabile dictu!
Avatar 11:20am Rev. Turnip Druid:

This has been a fascinating week. Working on freelance at home with FMU on speakers and witnessing the effects on the dog. This set here has turned his face upside down.
Avatar 11:21am Rev. Turnip Druid:

and βrian: By that comparison, tempeh becomes the mythical "god particle." I like that.
Avatar 11:25am Cheri Pi:

Yes, that nails it. I'm hoping to ingest some of it's greatness in the upcoming hour.
Avatar 11:26am Cheri Pi:

If Gonzo is twizzling his dna into candy-knots I can only imagine how Richard Nixon's bird must be reacting to this set.
Avatar 11:36am Rev. Turnip Druid:

Gomez gave up to the lords of snoring. Now it's approaching noon and the tempeh is singing to me from over there....
Avatar 11:40am βrian:

"With actives sites of sporulation!" What better recommendation could you have than that?
Avatar 11:43am dk:

this overhang party set is utterly essential and gorgeous, as is an awful lot of stuff on Important.

also, that ashley paul set: wow.
Avatar 11:43am Cheri Pi:

Did I just call him GONZO????? I need lunch.
Avatar 11:44am Cheri Pi:

overhang party!
Avatar 11:46am Cheri Pi:

I need this boxset STAT
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:47am Scott McDowell:

I always play the ballads.
Avatar 11:48am dk:

get it, cheri. words. cannot. describe.
Avatar 11:49am dk:

i was gonna say this is my favorite track on the set, but i suspect that if (when) i go listen to it again i'll say that about one track after another.
Avatar 11:49am Cheri Pi:

I will ask my dude to order it right now.
Avatar 11:51am Cheri Pi:

I have just made it so.
Avatar 11:52am dk:

a wise decision.
Avatar 11:55am Cheri Pi:

Off to a meeting, TTFN.
Avatar 11:56am dk:

woah, this william tyler thing. from the desciption @ merge: Tyler describes the record as “my ’70s singer-songwriter record; it just doesn’t have any words.”

never occurred to me that's exactly what it'd take to fix 70s singer-songwriter music in my eyes, but yep. that's it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57am Scott McDowell:

Avatar 12:00pm Cecile:

dk, you are right. For at least 80% of it.
