I've gotten plenty of sleep the last two days, and I've been really tired, like I had been partying and only had 4 hour of sleep. What gives? I even took a nap as Daniel Menche provided my dream's soundtrack during Bryce.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23pm Mike East:

I hope the spaceballs didn't get Megamaid back up and running!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm Mike East:

...and to answer the question...I'm tired everyday, although the baby has been waking up less, I still miss out on uninterrupted sleep.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:26pm Carmichael:

Ive been in frantic mode for about 2 weeks, so I'm tired as all get-out.

My work email has been down all day.
I'm hoping it will stay down until 6pm....if it comes back on at 5:30 and I have to deal with 50 emails, I'm not gonna be happy.

bigass spider. - news.nationalpost.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:04pm northguineahills:

I like the the dj behind the music, wait, I mean the music behind the dj, or is to the side. I'm having problems w/ determining spatial relations.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:06pm northguineahills:

They don't say what the size of the bigass spider is, I is disappoint!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:09pm Caryn:

@ngh: well, "size of a human face" is somewhat of a clue
  5:10pm Marmalade Kitty:

I love spiders! :D
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:10pm Brian in UK:

Change of seasons can have a confusing effect and induce a lethargic feeling in some folks.
Could be that it is Friday and you need some refreshment.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:12pm Caryn:

There is a term in Finnish for this. Roughly translated, it's "spring fatigue". You tend to feel lethargic around March/April.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:13pm northguineahills:

Are we talking pinhead-sized face, or my dinner plate sized-noggin face?
Avatar 5:15pm glenn:

dinner plate, mos def.
Avatar 5:15pm glenn:

maybe somebody could animate that pic as a gif.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:15pm Brian in UK:

Thank you Dr. Caryn

@ngh In the papers here today it was described as the size of a dinner plate. The Scots would deep fry it with chips (fries).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:16pm northguineahills:

No, I'm not hydrocephalic.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:18pm Brian in UK:

@ngh what does that mean? Are you afraid of getting your willy wet?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:22pm northguineahills:

If congenital, fetal hydrocephalus can lead to an enlarged cranium. In adults, it can lead to brain hemorrhaging and usually death if the fluid isn't allowed to drain.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:24pm Brian in UK:

This is a job for Trepanning Man.
Avatar 5:26pm Last Words Ever On Comment Board:

Oh shit. My head just exploded.
Avatar 5:28pm Kurt Gottschalk:

  5:31pm Cecile:

Avatar 5:31pm doca:

great show, kurt. great listening for the end of my working hours.
Avatar 5:32pm steve:

hey all... done with work for the week and tuning in.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:39pm Caryn:

Just looked up medical explanation for spring fatigue. Apparently, increasingly light evenings cause your internal clock to slow down, and both your internal clock and your sleep/wake patterns end up disturbed. Your sleep is not as deep and solid as it should be, so even a long slumber doesn't make you feel refreshed. Symptoms are made worse by an increase in the production of serotonin in the spring. Fatigue, headaches, stomach aches and irritability can be the result. Once the body gets used to the increased light, the symptoms die down. Exercise, vitamins C and D and iron are thought to help. Some doctors also recommend listening to plenty of music, so I guess WFMU to the rescue!
Avatar 5:42pm steve:

i find eating a giant salad helps
Avatar 5:42pm doca:

@Caryn: that's why i don't like daylight saving time. the evening helps me to make me awake.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:44pm northguineahills:

Trepanning man, nice!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:45pm Carmichael:

So did anyone figure out what cool video the animated gif is from? Minnesota Jeff? Beuhler? BUEHLER??
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:46pm northguineahills:

@Caryn: Yep, have unusual stomach aches as well. Keep in mind I grew up in FL where the length of day doesn't fluctuate as much.
  5:47pm Claudio:

I find eating a giant salad of good music like this!
  5:48pm Cecile:

I think that is a vintage Kraft macaroni and cheese ad.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:49pm Carmichael:

Vintage Devo, maybe. Thanks.
  5:49pm Cecile:

nope it's a miracle whip commercial
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:50pm Mike East:

5:50 and still no emails. I'm home free!!! Sorry work email - but the only one you'll be fucking this weekend is my clients. I'll see you on Monday. jerk.
Avatar 5:51pm steve:

is anyone else manically googling in search of a video of the gif??
  5:52pm Cecile:

Avatar 5:53pm steve:

oh my god...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:53pm Brian in UK:

What you got in mind for a giant salad, an ogre or maybe Jack & the Beanstalk style. Organic Vegan giants. They probably taste like spiders. Insects are the way forward. Plenty in the world should satisfy most people.
There is a huge plague of locusts in North Africa at the moment. Serious.
Avatar 5:53pm steve:

thanks Cecile, its everything i couldve hoped for!
  5:54pm Cecile:

it's a pretty great piece of kitsch. I remember it now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:54pm northguineahills:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55pm northguineahills:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:59pm northguineahills:
