...in response to that Droll I'd say something rude about Liz Taylor - but that's not necessary is it...I think that's the dif. between me & some other residences of smalltown New Hampshire here: I'm playing @ 45 & they're 33&1/3rd or something...

Hey, all. Thanks for the welcome back, fleep. Droll, that speed change caught me unawares. I'm blaming Daniel for not normalizing the turntables before he left.

Joe, its by Police drummer Stewart Copeland. Its like a wild and crazy jumble and sound collage, and a song with Stan Ridgeway from Wall of Voodoo on vocals.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:04am

@KP: Thanks, man! @Lonely Planet Boy: Well, they made it a little easier by adding a whole other unreleased album plus 4 bonus tracks to the original album. @Jeff: My hero, Stan Ridgeway! I have to get that one.

Hi, Holly. Celebrated move into city by hitting two RSD places manned by Fmu personnel, Brian turner at Kim's and Generation records w Tom S. the band the Livids were playing at latter. Pretty intense

In fact, they had a GREAT condition original 45 of Slade's "Gudbuy T'Jane"!! That's the one I put on as soon as I got home--and then naturally the B-side, "I Won't Let It 'Appen Again"!

I'm a quasi-audiophile and fan of good production, but compared with the iTunes track, there are some things (like "Gudbuy T'Jane") that just need to be vinyl. 45. Mono. And BLARING! :D

For RSD "specials", I got 2 new re-releases of classic albums on 180g "heavyweight" vinyl: The Electric Prunes and Van Dyke Parks' first solo album. Among the cooler CDs I picked up were Brian Eno's "Music For Films" (speaking of film soundtracks...), 2 Mazzy Star albums, and the OUT OF PRINT Yoko POB album, and The Kinks' Percy!
