Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33am fleep:

I am due to be crisped and sprinkled on the ocean. Fish food. Which makes sense.
  12:35am Marmalade Kitty:

make mine organic!
Avatar 12:35am Droll:

I'm a whole body organ donor. I expect students to dissect me, not sure what they do with you when they're through. Probably not still edible by that point, so Soylent Green second-act.
  12:38am Marmalade Kitty:

a little soy sauce!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43am G:

manteca means butter in soanish, maybe that's where the slang came from. no inside heroin knowledge here, dommage
Avatar 12:43am Inkvlto666:

Manteca is the grease of the pork...In Mexico, it is use to cook and used to be a sustitute for cooking oil
Swag For Life Member 12:46am phat:

that movie scared the hell out of me.
Avatar 12:47am Inkvlto666:

I am Mexican and I am from the southern part of mexico...and manteca is used in a lot of the traditional dishes from the mayan culture...I am from Mérida Yucatán...and it is butter....

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54am G:

sweet irony. a DJ who played compositions for decades buries and decomposes
  1:03am Marmalade Kitty:

This is boss! Unfortunately I have to sleep! Im late late again, not early early!
Avatar 1:04am Droll:

An ironic end for Mr. Berger would be mummification in cassette tape, then entombed in a plastic clamshell (with broken hinge), and left on the dashboard of a car parked in the sun and left to discolor, warp, and bake into dust.
Avatar 1:05am Pine:

Ha ha! Sounds just like Pig Destroyer
Avatar 1:06am Wm.:

...definitely yes on the broken hinge.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:06am G:

MK really never sleeps, or stops listening. she just sometimes gets tired of typing :p :p
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15am G:

"Against Gravity and Freewill"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22am G:

*that's* gotta hurt.
Avatar 1:23am Droll:

Speaking of irony, doesn't it require freewill to be against something like gravity, or freewill?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:24am G:

it's a song title, not a mathematical proof :)
Avatar 1:27am Pine:

Preprogramed Beligerence in the Guise of Freewill to the Sparseness of the Universe
Avatar 1:35am Droll:

The band name Hivesmasher reminds me of the bogus news story about the guy who died after having sex with a hornet's nest. That story's run in major news sources over the past two days, but it was already debunked last year:
I guess journalists don't have access to Google yet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:38am G:

Why check google and ruin a perfectly good story? As with pre-scientific etymologies, the level of currency is driven by how sensational the story is, not by its factual status or likelihood.
Avatar 1:41am Pine:

There was a guy in the UK got caught shagging his bike and was put on the sex offenders register a couple years ago. Seems unfair, he actually pleaded guilty. I'm curious how he did it e.g. spinning the wheel and cockslapping the spokes? I hope its on the court record in explicit detail.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:41am G:

"The dwoad comes nearer" but I dont know what a dwoad is
Avatar 1:43am Droll:

G, They might check because it's their job as journalists and they get paid to check. The Onion tries harder to get it right.
Actually, I like farces like this because it helps me figure out which "news" sources to ignore wholesale.
Avatar 1:43am Pine:

Even worse it was in the privacy of his own hotel room and someone walked in. What is the world coming too when you can't bum a bike in peace ffs
Avatar 1:44am Droll:

Pine, Not to be too graphic, but imagine a bicycle with no seat.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:45am G:

Newspapers are dying. They think their job is to make a sensational read that their editor happy, and keeps people from drifting away before they croak.

The internet never had much in the way of standards. Information wants to be stupid.
Avatar 1:46am Droll:

. o O ( Information wants to be stupid. )
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:48am G:

Just having a little fun with that hoary internet cliche, "Information wants to be free." (Add that one to your IP file.)
Avatar 1:51am Droll:

G, I put it on top of the Monsanto's self-replicating patent exhaustion SCotUS ruling.

  1:56am Schlockmaster:

don't worry William, media mind control is in effect over here too, its just more subtle and preposteriously pseudo-intellectual. But sheep gets herded around here too, the grass is not greener, fear gets built...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:57am Rory:

Land of the brave? More like land of the crazy assholes.
  1:57am Schlockmaster:

germany is what im talking about
Avatar 1:58am Pine:

Great craic tonight
Avatar 1:59am Droll:

In the 80's when people were afraid of violence on TV, the result was The A-Team, where they fire 1,000 rounds and blow up 5 cars but everyone gets up and walks away, just like the Roadrunner cartoons they edited all the violence out of.

Avatar 2:11am Droll:

You call this is Hausmusik?! Where's the repetitive disco beat, piano block chords, and chick R&B singer?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:28am blee:

Hello Wm, I'm catching the show tonight a bit late. What I've heard sounds great though, Husere Grav puts me in a special place. I also wanted to thank you for the Tom Carter / Pat Murano LP I won from the WFMU marathon. It's such a spaced out alien record. The sounds and silkscreened artwork on the sleeve are both amazing.
