NAILS touring with GODFLESH in Rocktober! Well, on the West Coast that is.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm tim from champaign:

Has anyone seen "This Is The End"? If so, do you think that the final demon/Satan was modeled on the Holy Diver album cover?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:23pm coe:

@Tim Yes and Yes. Except of course for that one extra appendage.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:25pm coe:

@Luna we have Prurient here on the east coast. Not really familiar with them.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26pm Sigurdur:

Thank you Diane :)!
Avatar 12:38pm Cecile:

there was a Somali kid in my design class who lives in High on Fire, Fu Manchu and Earth tees. I asked him if he just liked the designs or the bands. He goes BOTH! He laughs when I call him a "stoner-rock head" all the time.
Avatar 12:38pm Dave B:

I need a Diablo Sammich and a Dr. Pepper!
Avatar 12:39pm Cecile:

this new outlaws record sounds really good.
Avatar 12:41pm the glowing one:

Nice color scheme, Diane. I also dig that vintage harmony guitar sound of The Illuminati.

Hey All!

Thanks for saying hi! If you have any questions that you want me to ask Eric/New Bomb Turks/Livids or Doug/Didjits, you can post now and I'll hang onto them for the following weeks.
Avatar 12:43pm Diane Kamikaze:

NEW gorguts!!! YAY!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49pm tim from champaign:

Didjits were from Champaign. I moved here well after their time. I loved seeing the Didjits when I lived Kalamazoo. Those shows would get so unhinged. In retrospect, the hinge in that town was held together by a string though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52pm tim from champaign:

It's funny looking at Champaign now. There's no remnants of the Didjits in the music scene. While Champaign is a nice little place to live, there's absolutely no rock'n'roll vibe here. It's mainly boring ass weenie indie rock.
  12:54pm Alexis:

wuaaahhh At the Gates ........... !!

Avatar 1:13pm Chris from DC:

The metal lineup at Hopscotch is formidable this year.
  1:13pm AzulLunitta:

I like the background music. Who plays it?
Avatar 1:14pm Cecile:

Avatar 1:14pm Diane Kamikaze:

The Challengers - The Mark of Zorro
Avatar 1:16pm Cecile:

Diane, you should get Jeff Waters as a Peer Pressure guest.
Avatar 1:21pm Cecile:

bet he'd have some stories, and everyone I've ever asked about him says he's a cool guy.

Avatar 1:40pm Cheri Pi:

that was a great little witch-tinged dark rock set DK
Avatar 1:43pm Cheri Pi:

Spencer Davis Group tinged witch-rock.

Avatar 2:13pm Cecile:

Could you play some mountains of Scorpions?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm coe:

@AzulLunitta if you listen to the sample of the song on Amazon it is almost the same loop as DK's.
  2:22pm ?:

I could use some Crom if possible
Avatar 2:24pm Chris from DC:

I have to confess, I've heard very little Golden Earring other than The Song.
  2:25pm common:

  2:25pm common:

Avatar 2:26pm Chris from DC:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:27pm Ken From Hyde Park:

My Google search for heavy metal versions of Slim Whitman songs came up dry. Has anyone else had success with that? I figured this would be the time and place to hear them, if there are any.

ken, the Meat Puppets did a crazed version of Tumblin Tumbleweeds. Slim didn't write much stuff, maybe you should just look up song titles.

This new Alan Parsons album sounds really good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:40pm coe:
