I once saw NBTs in the mid-nineties, on some big huge bill sponsored by a local mainstream 'alternative' station.
All the bands slagged each other on stage. I'd never seen anything like it in all my years of going to punk shows. Oh, I've seen one or two bands talk smack about each other but this one, the hostility in the air between bands was so thick, you could cut it with a knife.
Most of the bands were amazing, Lunachicks, NBTs, Rev. Horton Heat and more but the headliner was then-pretenders to Green Day's dubious Retail Punk throne, Hagfish, who were universally reviled by audience and bands alike.

I completely lost track of Devo, post Oh No in 1982, although I met them at a Tower in-house thing in like 1985 or so.
Devo was my first ever rock concert. I saw them on the New Traditionalists tour and then the Oh No tour.

@Cecile, @Wretch: Ditto here. the SNL appearance was rather disturbing/entertaining (disturbtainment?). I also saw them on a local PBS show, a feature about them, with people expressing outrage at thier theories, image. That also shocked me in a way no punk rock band was ever able to match.
