Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

Another show in the can. I hope you enjoyed it. I struggled with it. But in re-listening, there were moments. Thanks to Fab for sitting in. I actually went out two separate days in search of interviews, but I had no angle, no verve. Got shy. Came home. Tried the desperation digital thing. There were some good songs, though. I always feel guilty playing too much music on Dusty. It's supposed to be a talk-oriented time slot. I try to balance it out. ----- Anyway, I hope you're enjoying your summer. Already feeling a little fall-ish here, but hot weather returns this week. Oh my ... I'm talking about the weather. That's my cue. Thanks for listening and I hope you listen again. Until next time, take care and ... always remember. CPNYC8201399

We got to vote on the mayor and repealing the current new Lens pier design or not on the 26th. I'm for the new pier so I'm voting no on the proposition to stop it ... big news here in downtown St Pete. The 'Lens' will be cool and they already spent $5 million on the process. The existing Pier has been closed to traffic since May and is going to be demolished soon regardless.

Dash Croft's birthday was yesterday ... Jim Seals and Dash Crofts may be best known for the work they’ve released under their last names, but the duo first played together in such bands as Dean Beard and the Crew Cuts, the Champs (but not until after ‘Tequila’ was a hit), Glen Campbell and the GCs (yes, that Glen Campbell) and the Dawnbreakers. In 1969, Seals and Crofts decided to go on their own and released their self-titled debut album that year. While generally considered less rock than adult contemporary, the duo nonetheless spent the ‘70s racking up several significant chart successes.
