  12:18am Kathy:

  12:21am jeff in puna hawaii:

Aloha Therese
  12:22am KP:

Anybody see Elton John on Emmys tonight? His TelePrompTer had the chords on it, like a band's cheat sheet; Am, Dm, Fm7. What good is that to guy like him?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22am Therese:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:23am pacific standard simon:

Dang! If only it were still 7:23 here.
Avatar 12:24am Pete from Boston (and NJ):

Emmys? Did Mike Farrell finally get his lifetime achievement award? How many more letters do I have to send?
Avatar 12:27am amEdeo:

Spoerky Teorth
Avatar 12:28am BadGuyZero:

Who has two thumbs, speaks limited French and forgot to compensate for Denver being an hour behind Dallas time?

:points at self: THIS MOI!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:31am pacific standard simon:

@ amEdeo - Just how hard is it to kick Therese out of the studio?
  12:33am KP:

  12:35am KP:

That was Spooky Tooth? I should start paying attention.
Avatar 12:37am Pete from Boston (and NJ):

For quite a while now I keep thinking I'm hearing about "ยต-ziq" when I am in fact hearing about "Musiq." It is nice to finally get the one I want.
  12:39am Steve-O:

BTW, where was this town, with the Octoberfest, Therese? =)
  12:40am Kathy:

3 nuns and a priest walk into a school......
  12:42am KP:

Nun-ley, NJ?
  12:45am Kathy:

almost none
Avatar 12:46am ottovonbqe:

God, I love this song!
  12:46am God:

Your Welcome!!!
Avatar 12:47am BadGuyZero:

Chris Norman sounds like Peter Criss.
Avatar 12:47am ottovonbqe:

Well, I hate Earth and the heavens and stuff, so don't get too cocky.
  12:48am God:

OH, never!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50am pacific standard simon:

  12:53am KP:

Did Spooky Tooth become Mott the Hoople or something. I used to know this stuff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58am pacific standard simon:

That was Luther Grosvenor, who changed his name to Ariel Bender & replaced Mick Ralphs in Mott. Also played in Stealers Wheel and Widomaker.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59am fleep:

Even God doesn't know the difference between Your and You're. We mortals don't stand a chance.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:03am pacific standard simon:

The Spooky Tooth family tree is truly awesome, but its most famous progeny is undoubtedly Cresskill, New Jersey's own Gary Wright, who had a monster awful hit with "Dreamweaver".
Avatar 1:04am BadGuyZero:

On Friday I had lunch with a friend after which we went bowling at some neighborhood lanes. It was the first time I had ever heard The Jesus & Mary Chain, Yo La Tengo and The Replacements songs playing in a bowling alley. It felt like being in some alternate universe John Hughes movie.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:04am pacific standard simon:

I'd rather be listening to this Jesus and Mary Chain song.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07am Chop Scott:

Therese! Always the best company...
Avatar 1:10am ottovonbqe:

I don't mind if stumblin in migrates to my head and stays there.
  1:11am Steve-O:

@Chop Scott: Seconded. =)

@otto: Yeah, that WAS a kickass song. First heard it on Dallas's KEOM some years ago. have loved it ever since. =)
Avatar 1:16am BadGuyZero:

KEOM is the only station in Dallas worth listening to.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:18am pacific standard simon:

I wondered which FMU jock was the secret hobbit -- now I know.
  1:19am Steve-O:

My first console was an N64.....oh man, good times were to be had with Super Mario 64.....good times. =)
  1:30am goldilocks!:

  1:38am bngolde:

Anyone find anything interesting at PS1 Art Book Fair today/ysterday?
Avatar 1:40am ottovonbqe:

Oh, yeah!
  1:42am bngolde:

haha! Wow, that's great!
Avatar 1:46am BadGuyZero:

I saw Superchunk yesterday!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:47am Therese:

I will be seeing them on Saturday!
  1:48am bngolde:

How was it?! I wanted to check that out tooooo!
  1:48am amEdeo:

:< I will be seeing them in my more financially prosperous future...
  1:50am amEdeo:

OH BOY! The book fair... I completely forgot to go. Did you go, bngolde?
Avatar 1:50am BadGuyZero:

I also saw Guided By Voices, Against Me, Rocket From The Crypt and The Replacements!

Riot Fest is hands-down the most disorganized festival I have ever attended. I didn't go today because I didn't want to have to deal with it again.
  1:52am bngolde:

I came out of the art book fair with a legitimate ayawaska connect... the magnum opus of all possibilities!!
Avatar 1:52am Droll:

The k-sound appears to be a "velar plosive": upload.wikimedia.org...
Avatar 1:55am ottovonbqe:

If Al Gore didn't invent the internet, Dick Cheney would have. And we'd all be dead just for using this comment board. So thanks Al Gore.
Avatar 1:56am BadGuyZero:

Fruit Ninja questions?
Avatar 1:57am amEdeo:

Ayawaska?!! An entire of world of possibilities at your fingertips! All of my everything connects are either imaginary or not so legitimate.
  1:58am Steve-O:

Nice little exercise in alternate history there.....indeed, what would the world be like w/out the internet? =)
  1:59am bngolde:

I sure did. My best friend got a really awesome book about S. Freud and his trips to Coney Island. I also got a birthday gift for my father: a collection of gun target images printed by Hans, Hans and some other one... Hans?
Avatar 2:01am amEdeo:

Never underestimate a Hans, Hans, & Hans publication.

Do you know who wrote the Coney Island Freud book? I am a FAN OF FREUD. A FREUDFAN. A FREUDANIAC.
  2:04am bngolde:

Well, here is a little secret for all of you here... there are only about one hundred left on amazon and then the book will go out of print. Let me pull up zee info for you! The kind lady gave me this tip...
Avatar 2:05am amEdeo:

  2:06am bngolde:

I wish that there were more fairs of this kind in the city. I grew up in NYC and always find either the zine fairs (which don't have art books) and art book fairs (which don't have zines). They don't call me Gold for nothin'!
  2:07am bngolde:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:09am pacific standard simon:

Sleepy now -- nite all!
  2:09am bngolde:

Voila! Your dish is served!
  2:10am bngolde:

Simon... I have a question!! Don't leave!! My cousin named Simon married a woman named Simone. Do you think that is strange?? I sort of think that would be weird...
Avatar 2:11am amEdeo:

Awesome! Thank you so much! AND NICE TO MEET YOU, NEW FRIEND! Now I must depart-ish to make sure there is still music playing in 50 minutes!
  2:13am bngolde:

whoa!! my first one!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14am pacific standard simon:

They should both change their names to Kim; then the universe will balance in perfect harmony.
  2:15am bngolde:

Thanks for the feedback, Simon. I was just curious to hear what another Simon has to say about this issue.
Avatar 2:18am Droll:

...unless their surname is already Kim.
Marsha Marsha Marsha!
  2:24am bngolde:

What! And my first friend hosts the monday morning special? I want to host the monday morning special! Teach me the path, Sensei.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:30am fleep:

It involves some hocus pocus.
  2:34am bngolde:

Well, don't we need Bette Midler in a godawful witch costume (from the dusty depths of Abracadabra) in order to make that happen?? Do you bite your thumb at me, Sir?!
  2:50am Steve-O:

Well, Therese, this was a great show, as is the usual.....thank you! =)
  2:53am bngolde:

I appreciate the dramatic impacts found from Ren & Stimpy production music too! Simply diiiivine!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:53am fleep:

All will be explained if you can stay awake long enough. And dolphins don't have thumbs.
