Avatar 12:07pm Cecile:

Okay, questions!

Who would win in a knife fight, Mikael Åkerfeldt or Grutle Kjellson?
Avatar 12:08pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Cecile @12:05: UNACCEPTABLE!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:08pm cthulhu:

Avatar 12:08pm glenn:

Avatar 12:09pm Cecile:

Avatar 12:09pm Cecile:

glenn, get out of my head.
Avatar 12:10pm Cecile:

What is the "Gothenburg" sound exactly?
Who coined it?
Why not the Malmo or Halmstad sound?
Avatar 12:11pm Cecile:

What was your decision for moving to the US?

Does your brother boss you around? How do you get back at him if he does?

Avatar 12:28pm glenn:

Avatar 12:32pm InBrkly:

I don't play guitar so I don't normally obsess over "favourite player" but I really dig Brian Gibson of Lightning Bolt because: How does he do that?!? Sound like 2 guitars?
Avatar 12:32pm InBrkly:

I hope knucklehead pearl jam fans accidently buy Lightning Bold CDs
Avatar 12:33pm InBrkly:

Do people still buy CDs? oh man....
  12:34pm Marmalade Kitty:

This set..Blew my socks off!
Avatar 12:34pm glenn:

2 guitars? either fingerpicking or double tracking.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:34pm tim from champaign:

InBrkly - Brian Gibson actually plays bass. He plays through a bunch of pedals and a gnarly amp. I don't have his gear specs though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm steve:

InBrkly - i believe he uses a bass with 3 bass strings and a banjo string, and some unusual tuning
Avatar 12:39pm northguineahills:

When I saw an add for the new Pearl Jam album, I thought, Pearl Jam and Lightning Bolt are collaborating? weird!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm Mike East:

@ngh- I had the same thought.
Avatar 12:41pm InBrkly:

Thanks for the answers. Makes me want to pick up a bass!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42pm tim from champaign:

Avatar 12:57pm Cecile:

Ken, what is this panda cam of which you speak?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:00pm tim from champaign:

Cecile - It's for the panda cub at the National Zoo in D.C. The Washington Post said the Panda cam was turned back on. I wouldn't be surprised if the journalist used some artistic liberties in the article.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:01pm Ken From Hyde Park:

nationalzoo.si.edu... ... The link is up, but the cam itself isn't connecting to the server today.
Avatar 1:01pm Cecile:

OK, tim.

Chris has a cute accent.
Avatar 1:01pm Jim:

Avatar 1:02pm Cecile:

Avatar 1:05pm Jim:

Avatar 1:50pm Cecile:

Call Clay Pigeon! Frank Marino alert!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:54pm tim from champaign:

Ditch Queen is lyrically getting in to Clarence Carter "Strokin'" territory.
Avatar 1:58pm Cecile:

wow, another cult fave here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm dinatekno:

Frank Marino 'Ditch Queen' sounding like early Van Halen. I thought it was Diamond Dave singing!
Avatar 2:13pm Cecile:

wow this guy is channeling Roger Daltrey pretty strongly. This is also a Clay fave.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm Stevel:

Smoke on the Water riff=nursery rhyme. Brilliant!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:22pm tim from champaign:

Yeah! I heard the Tigers fans chanting the melody to "7 Nation Army" on last nights Tigers game. Me and my wife were really surprised. Makes sense now.
Avatar 2:24pm Jim:

Unleash the fucking fury
Avatar 2:28pm Cecile:

Nice! Great Tom Jobim composition.
Avatar 2:28pm Cecile:

this has to be up there as one of the more eclectic Peer Pressures you have done.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:29pm Mike East:

David Byrne does a pretty cool version of this...not as good as this though.
Avatar 2:30pm Cecile:

almost as good as Tom and Elis Regina's.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:31pm Mike East:

yeah, Cecile. she had something special.
Avatar 2:32pm Cecile:

not for nothing they called her the "hurricane".

VOivod! I''m back from my 3 hour meeting!!
Avatar 2:56pm Cecile:

that sounds like a Lobo song, "You, me, Zorro and Skeleton Witch. Travelling and living off the land."
Avatar 2:56pm Cecile:

there are, however, no wheatfields in St. Paul.
Avatar 2:58pm Cheri Pi:

Hey-these kids are from Athens, OH. a sleepy little college town.
