Hello Therese

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:05am Ken From Hyde Park:

New Dengue Fever...cool!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12am Therese:

And no one think about posting any Downton Abbey spoilers!
  12:13am that diabetic guy:

Sorry I'm not familiar with downtown abbey
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14am pacific standard simon:

Downtown Abby? I used to buy crack from her!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16am Therese:

Good, we are all going to get along just fine.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17am Andrew Waterloo:

You mean this?
  12:18am that diabetic guy:

Sorry I never heard of it! Is it a new DOCTOR WHO spinoff series
Avatar 12:20am Baby New Year Zero:

Happy 2014, Therese!
Avatar 12:21am Baby New Year Zero:

I know that underwater-sounding piano sound anywhere.
  12:22am homeless shelter guy:

Hey it's 2014 and I'm in a shelter
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22am Ike:

LOL, Downton Abbey is the British Melrose Place, which my parents assume is some brilliant drama just because it has British accents and nice costumes. Meanwhile my dad won't give Breaking Bad or Justified the time of day. Hilarious. If those two shows had casts with British accents he'd be ALL OVER THEM.
Avatar 12:22am Callieflower:

Happy New Year to Therese and everyone else!
  12:23am homeless shelter guy:

Yay pink floyd!! I love pink floyd
Avatar 12:24am Baby New Year Zero:

No "Two Ronnies" spoilers, please.
  12:25am homeless shelter guy:

Just please don't play anything off of "animals" I freak out when I hear one note of "pigs" or "dogs"
  12:25am KP:

Happy Floyd Year, Therese!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26am Therese:

It is totally the PBS equivalent of an Aaron Spelling program. Which is a large part of its appeal for me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26am pacific standard simon:

I'd say no Justified spoilers, but who am I kidding? I'd watch if I knew every damn thing that was going to happen.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26am Tome:

Hellow Therese ! & folks enjoying the tunes and grooves as always,, still one of my all time faves yes Pink Floyd at Pompeii ,, and the audience too ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27am Andrew Waterloo:

I just got to the end of all the Dr. Who available on Netflix
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:28am pacific standard simon:

Remember that Neil Young song where he says he wishes he was high? This era of Pink Floyd tune makes me think of that.
  12:28am KP:

There are too many English people faking American accents in tv
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:30am pacific standard simon:

@KP - They're just biting their thumbs at you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:30am Ike:

KP, that's because they work cheap. Actor James Purefoy said, "We are often referred to in L.A. as white Mexicans."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:31am pacific standard simon:

I thought that was the Canadians.
Avatar 12:31am egal:

Elizabeth McGovern is faking a British accent on DA.
Avatar 12:31am northguineahills:

Thanks Therese! Off to bed!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:32am Andrew Waterloo:

Nah, Canadians are the ones with no accents.
  12:33am KP:

No accents, eh?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33am Andrew Waterloo:

KP, Aye, no ideer what dats a boot.
  12:34am KP:

Gross! I think the east river is coming over the highway. Big mess here
  12:36am KP:

Amanda brought coffee
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39am pacific standard simon:

Likes dis.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39am Ike:

Andrew, you're not missing much then, season 7 is pretty much all downhill. But I'm puzzled that Netflix has left out Dr. Who's 2010 "Christmas Carol," the best Xmas special they ever did.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39am Skirkie:

I entered the MTA system around 9 and by the time I reemerged to the surface world in Journal Square at 10:30 the world was enveloped in creepy fog.

Anyway, whippersnappers, amirite?
  12:44am KP:

Maybe it's the fog that made them close the road here
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56am pacific standard simon:

Such a great record.
  12:56am KP:

Sweet Cinnamon Girl, Therese.
  12:59am KP:

The drummer relaxes and waits between shows
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:01am pacific standard simon:

Like the spider and the fly, eh? Or amEdeo.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02am Tome:

seeing Neil play so many times over the years ,,, he could sit there with his acoustic and harp and if he only smiles ,, time to time the show is amazing ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:05am pacific standard simon:

Therese's bed music sounds like porn soundtrack.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:08am fleep:

WFMU Listener: Watches porn for the soundtrack.
Avatar 1:10am Baby New Year Zero:

Frederick has some of Rob Halford's vocal mannerisms [in addition to the retro-Rob hairstyle].
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11am pacific standard simon:

Funny because it's true.
  1:12am KP:

Michael Bloomfield was doing porn soundtracks around the time he died
Avatar 1:13am Baby New Year Zero:

If Jeff Lynne was in Cheap Trick it would probably sound like this Stray track.
Avatar 1:16am Baby New Year Zero:

This is really Elton John, right?
  1:17am ntc:

Happy new year folks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:18am pacific standard simon:

If it didn't say "Kiwi Rock Scene", I'd think it was Darryl Dragon's brother.
  1:18am KP:

There is a porn movie that uses ELO albums as the soundtrack. I actually found out about this trying to track down a Jeff Lynne cd.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:20am pacific standard simon:

Didn't Wall Of Voodoo get some of that porn soundtrack money, too?
  1:24am ntc:

I'd like manu chao more but too much stoner music. This is good.
  1:33am Chris:

Such a smooth sound! Thanks for playing bEEdEEgEE, I'll have to look them up!

Wow, Pere Ubu

This is great
  1:55am Nardo:

  1:58am KP:

The cat is nervous, as is I
  2:02am KP:

Avatar 2:06am Baby New Year Zero:

It's probably amEdeo's fault that you couldn't make your voice all reverby.
Avatar 2:06am Baby New Year Zero:

It sounds like it might have a sharknado in it.
Avatar 2:07am Baby New Year Zero:

Frankie Teardrop?
Avatar 2:08am Baby New Year Zero:

Oh noes...what if Frankie Teardrop is in the polar vortex???

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:09am Therese:

He would be Frankie Frozen Teardrop!
Avatar 2:11am Baby New Year Zero:

Maybe Frankie Frozen Teardrop is responsible for the Norwegian butter shortage.
  2:14am neil:

thee polar zone? youve now entered thee polar zone...theres no turning back now...temperature has lost all meaning.
Avatar 2:50am ground vacuumin:

Amazing how much new and good and varied music there is now, it's really exciting time to have ears. And good DJ's like WFMU.

Happy New Year, Amadeo!
Avatar 2:55am drool exhaust pipes:

Therese, when you are old and senile I can imagine you mumbling that D.a.r.y.l. acronym to everyone's bafflement.
Avatar 2:57am Baby New Year Zero:

My sister went through a phase where she wanted to be Vicki so she spoke like her. Yes, it was as fun as it sounds. I learned so much about "Small Wonder," more than any reasonable person should know.

My brother and I pestered our parents to take us to see Chomps when it came out. We were unsuccessful.
Avatar 2:58am Baby New Year Zero:

Do you remember "Heartbeeps" with Andy Kaufman and Bernadette Peters as robots?
Avatar 2:58am dB from Oakland:

Noam Chompsky is a robot dog that bites cryptofascist capitalist villains.
