"Feed the Tree" is always great. It was a huge #1 hit in Iketropolis, and in any logical universe.

You got in! If you see Peter King from Sports Illustrated, please push him into a mud puddle. I'll send you a box of doughnuts.

Wooooooo!! You got into Media Day! WFMU's getting to be like a real media organization, instead of just crashing events with Clay Pigeon and his microcassettes :)

Hey Bronwyn and Jim and Super Bowlsy Talkers!

Congrats on Media Day :)
So Exciting!

Any plans to do an extended report via say itunes or something?

Btw you should ask Pete Carroll "So how does this compare to coaching in the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles" - East Coasters consider it all the same out there y'know (like the whole NJ/NYC crap)

Keili, Therese and now Bronwyn birthdays in the last few days. We're going to need a WFMU birthday app or a web page to keep track of all these birthdays. Also, Happy Birthday!

I think you CAN do two, technically btw.

It's all good :) I don't wanna hog all the time :D
Avatar 6:14pm

On a punt, or on a fake punt? Punters have definitely scored TDs on fake punts, but not sure about on an actual punt.
Avatar 6:15pm
Danne D:

Lots of Aquarii on the FMU airwaves :)

Oh, crap I've started the NJ bitchfest :) it was bound to happen.

You should ask Pete Carroll if he plans to heckle the Jersey City Council meetings :)
Avatar 6:16pm
Matt from Springfield:

It's thanks to Spring Fever, Danne ;)
Avatar 6:17pm
Danne D:

Very difficult for a punter to score on an actual punt. If the returner mishandles the ball right away it's a muff - a muff cannot be advanced. Only if the returner actually gets to return the ball can they fumble it.

So you need it to go punt, fielded cleaning, returner starts running, fumbles, punter miracle recovery, punter returns for touchdown

Watched the Rumble last night. First PPV in almost fifteen years. I gave up wrestling when I got a big boy job. I had a good time watching last night. Reading up on the guys, I can understand where the crowd was coming from, though.

Question for Bronwyn and Jay to ask at media day:
"Did you have any posters of famous punters on your wall in your bedroom growing up? If not, who would you put up on that wall today?"

All time favorite wrestling moment - one of the Moondogs noshing on Captain Lou Albano's arm :)

I have to think that the use of Paul Bearer's "ashes" is one of the more clever tributes I've seen in a long time.

"Austin 3:16"...not sure how those became so popular in those days.

I grew up watching giants like Gene, Ole, and Arn Anderson on Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling. It was the best. There was a tag team called the Royal Kangaroos that was related to the queen of England!
Avatar 6:27pm
Dan B From Upstate:

I remember this story! He was wrestling Jake the Snake who had gone all bible-ly and Austin was tearing him a new one after winning. "You got your John 3:16. Austin 3:16 says I just whupped your ass." Ah, memories.
Avatar 6:30pm

Wow, thanks Dan B. Didn't expect someone to remember the origin story to that, but thanks! :)

Matt from Springfield:

@Danne: On the one hand, they aren't *really* needed, just a feel-good bonus point after already making a touchdown. BUT, I'm now thinking that it would only take 2 field goals to match a touchdown--the extra point rewards the effort to make a TD instead of going for 2 FGs.
