That new Neil Young record is so lofi it should have been released by Hozac.
Avatar 12:03am BadGuyZero:

By the way...hello and welcome back, Therese. I hope you enjoyed your weekend away.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04am pacific standard simon:

This record is messing with my mind -- I was in high school when Lightfoot and Young were both in the charts.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04am Therese:

Hey there, BGZ!
  12:05am P-90:

Welcome home, T
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:05am Therese:

PSS- you and Dave Mandl, both!

Welcome back, Therese
  12:07am Steve-O:

Hi Therese.....welcome back. =) Hope you're all doin' okay tonight.....lots of bad news coming out of Ark., re: the nasty weather down there today. =(

RSD! I could not find this anywhere (6stores) in Manhattan
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10am Sigurdur is Rectitude:

And start getting used to saying hi too Bollywood.... Hi Therese, and KP
12:11am Bob in DC and/or VA:

Welcome back, Therese! This show is the perfect way to keep the weekend from ending just quite yet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11am pacific standard simon:

I think I need A Letter Home when it gets a general release. Had no idea Neil Young dug Gordon Lightfoot. Early Morning Rain was one of the first songs I learned.
Avatar 12:12am tomB:

Wait it was 9 stores that didn't have the Spector single
Avatar 12:13am BadGuyZero:

Patti Smith sends Easter into overtime.
  12:14am KP:

Hey Bob, could have used your advice last weekend. I spent my Record Store Day hunting around Northrrn va. and had good time
Avatar 12:18am BadGuyZero:

@tomB: Skip's Record & CD World has two copies in stock [according to their website]. The site is a bit of a pain-in-the-ass to navigate. Click "Search" on the homepage and enter Ronnie Spector and it'll pull the record up. www.gotocdworld.com

Avatar 12:18am Whooda:

Hi Therese and all. Interesting to hear how a tune gets worked over, and over. Isn't this also the melody for "Tell Me Where It's At" and also Sugar Shack?
Avatar 12:19am cerealrecords:

If you listen closely you can hear a car alarm ... oh wait ... nevermind
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21am pacific standard simon:

Wine Spodee-O-Dee always sounds more authentic sung through false teeth.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24am Rectitude:

A car does that burning the wheels thing
Avatar 12:26am Whooda:

Wow, really making up for lost time with this set Therese.
Avatar 12:27am BadGuyZero:

I hope you play a cut from "Rock, Rot & Rule."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27am pacific standard simon:

All RSD set?
Avatar 12:29am Whooda:

@PSS does RSD mean 'released date'?
  12:31am KP:

So after one place that had nothing and one that very little, I hit a shop in no. Va. that had everything, full boxes everywhere, and they seemed perplexed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33am pacific standard simon:

  12:33am GM:

"Record Store Day"
Avatar 12:33am Whooda:

What's it mean?
Avatar 12:34am Whooda:

@GM Thanks.

A mere million miles away from Occoquan va
Avatar 12:37am tomB:

Thanx BGZ, was trying to stay in the spirit of RSD, and not go online. However, will trade R. Spektor for R. Spector!
KP, did that store get a thousand Zombies records and the Ghotsbusters?
  12:39am KP:

Neil did quite a bit of that stuff at Carnegie Hall
12:40am Bob in DC and/or VA:

KP, did you check out CD Cellar in Arlington?
Avatar 12:42am Whooda:

My favorite cover of AATWT (after Hendrix's) is Neil Young's. He takes his repetitive note style into a transcendental place.
  12:48am KP:

I didn't notice those. But boxes
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52am pacific standard simon:

LB for me, baby.
  12:55am KP:

Bob, that's where I got most of it. They had boxes
  12:57am KP:

Bob, also went to a bizarre unbelievably tiny place in a Vienna attic and my wife's former town of Fairfax
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02am pacific standard simon:

Searching out versions of "Putty (In Your Hands)" as we speak -- found the chords and lyrics, too, so that's gonna be fun for wood-shedding.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:13am pacific standard simon:

The best NY baseball team is still in San Francisco.
Avatar 1:14am BadGuyZero:

That "ET" game was a terribly confusing game. It took the confusion crown from "Raiders of the Lost Ark" for the 2600. "Yar's Revenge" was also kind of confusing but it made cool noises.
Avatar 1:14am Whooda:

Haha, that 'modern day' archaeology dig for Atari ET cartridges is too strange for fiction. I'm glad we found them before our alien progeny did 10,000 years from now. Maybe we will destroy them more effectively this time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16am pacific standard simon:

Plus, you know, as an honorary host, the kid has to compulsively pledge to WFMU. Like every 10 minutes!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:17am pacific standard simon:

"Chewy, chew me out of my mind" -- what the hell does that even mean?

I'm looking forward to that wedding announcement between Mr. Buttery and Ms. Knight

about 1983
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33am pacific standard simon:

I had a girlfriend who was obsessed with Missing Persons in '83 -- didn't share her obsession.
Avatar 1:33am Whooda:

Therese I've had a migraine headache all day and got up hoping to find relief in your show. It's working. Maybe you should consider selling CD's of this show on the pain relief aisle.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:35am pacific standard simon:

Try Niacin, Whooda.
Avatar 1:36am Whooda:

Thanks PSS, I will do that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37am pacific standard simon:

I started taking it for cholesterol, but it cleared up the migraines, too.
  1:38am johnk77:

missing persons was important in 1983
your mileage may vary
  1:40am Dan in Milwaukee:

"amEdeo vs. The Ants"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:05am Therese:

BGZ- that is my theory, and I am sticking to it until I hear otherwise.
Avatar 2:09am Whooda:

I'm beginning to think that Sweet Daddy Longlegs may be a bad influence on our amEdo. SDL's corrosive interior design influences might be a corrupt influence thus sending the overnight DJ on expeditions and ventures in search of unobtainable fabric patterns and questionably uphoustered furniture
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:10am Rectitude:

And all that occurs in a IKEA outlet
  2:10am sara:

love it
Avatar 2:12am Whooda:

@Rectitude Haha, I think you may of discovered the very lair of the "Ikea" Devil himself.
Avatar 2:13am BadGuyZero:

If he finds a Sinistar cartridge for the 2600 I hope he nabs it for me. There are varying tales about whether or not cartridges were ever mass-produced. I've seen a few prototype cartridges of a still-in-development version of the game. I've heard that the development was completed and cartridge production was underway when the plug was pulled on the 2600 system. Those cartridges were allegedly destroyed, but it's just as likely that they're in a New Mexico landfill.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14am Rectitude:

Yeah i belive i have, it took 8 bleeding years to find my way out . . .
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:16am Rectitude:

And i had even purchased a KEX Chocalate bar

  2:57am Steve-O:

Well, alright guys, I enjoyed this show, as always.

Have a safe & fun week, everybody! =)
Avatar 2:59am BadGuyZero:

Thanks, Steve-O. You do the same.
Avatar 3:01am BadGuyZero:

Exactly! But you have to check the ingredients because one of the plants in Mexico uses HFCS. :womp womp:
Avatar 3:02am BadGuyZero:
