  12:02am P-90:

Good Morning T
Avatar 12:02am Holly in NC:

Dear heavens, I love this song.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:03am Therese:

Morning, P-90 & Holly!
Avatar 12:06am BadGuyZero:

Happy Star Wars Day to those of you with me where it's still May 4. And happy Revenge of the Fifth to those of you who live in the future.
  12:09am P-90:

@ BGZ: May the Fourth be with you
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10am Tome:

Hellow Therese , Hellow Kiddles ! ,,, cinco de mayo !
Avatar 12:11am Holly in NC:

@BGZ - I was going to cleverly respond "May the 4th be with you" - & then realized WHY yesterday is designated as Star Wars day. Oof. Color me slow on the uptake!
Avatar 12:19am Holly in NC:

Wedding Present = another classic song.
Avatar 12:24am BadGuyZero:

This Sally Crewe track reminds me of Juliana Hatfield a little bit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26am Therese:

BGZ- Yes, I can hear that too.
Avatar 12:27am KP:

Jolly good evening to you, Therese
Avatar 12:29am Billy Jam:

and on this Damon Albarn track the way he sings reminds of a bit of Roy Harper
Avatar 12:34am Billy Jam:

Skunk? Sounds like weed to me
Avatar 12:35am Snortley:

Linden trees are quite fragrant lately.
  12:36am rimolvo:

Avatar 12:36am Callieflower:

I was part of the army of women livetweeting Flowers In The Attic on Lifetime
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38am Therese:

No, Billy Jam! These are ACTUAL SKUNKS!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40am Therese:

Snortley- based on a cursory image search, they may be linden trees
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40am Therese:

Callieflower- the film version of Flowers in the Attic was made for Lifetime before Lifetime existed.
Avatar 12:44am Callieflower:

True, but it didn't feature Sally Draper!
Avatar 12:44am BadGuyZero:

Did you see the Lifetime-made "Flowers in the Attic" that aired a few months ago?
Avatar 12:46am Billy Jam:

love every selection Therese - perfect!
Avatar 12:46am BadGuyZero:

I missed it because it was on at the same time as some awards show I was live-tweeting; I think it was the Grammy Awards.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47am Therese:

Wait, whuuttttttt?!?! How did I miss this? Sally Draper played Cathy, I presume?
Avatar 12:48am Callieflower:

Yep! Ellen Burstyn and Heather Graham were also in it
Avatar 12:51am BadGuyZero:

There was also a Lizzie Borden made-for-Lifetime movie that aired around the same time that featured Christina Ricci as Lizzie.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51am Therese:

Wow. My tween self is demanding that I seek this out immediately.
Avatar 12:53am Callieflower:

It was not good, but it was fun to watch with other women
Avatar 12:55am tomB:

Christina Ricci must have been a great Lizzie Borden. She was a great small-town explosives- obsessive kid in some minor movie I once saw
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57am Ken From Hyde Park:

Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Avatar 12:59am BadGuyZero:

Sometimes when deciding which hotel I'm going to stay at it comes down to which one has Lifetime Movie Network. LMN is the best for having on as background noise while working. Several years ago I saw a movie on there that starred Alia Shawkat as a teenager who was kicked out of school for supposedly being a witch. Illeana Douglas played her mom.
  1:01am P-90:

BGZ: That one sounds like fun.
Avatar 1:05am Holly in NC:

Christina Ricci's onscreen growth from adorable little Mermaid girl to preternaturally developed and very messed up pubescent in Ice Storm & Buffalo '66 freaked me out.
Mermaids is one of my few "chick flicks" :)
  1:07am P-90:

@ BGZ: Actually, I'd like to see Shawkat and Douglas play real mother-and-daughter witches

@ Holly in NC: Have you seen Christina Ricci in The Opposite of Sex?
Avatar 1:09am BadGuyZero:

Sandra Dee, James Urbaniak and Brian Keith are from Bayonne.
Avatar 1:10am BadGuyZero:

@P-90: Here's the info: www.imdb.com...
Avatar 1:10am Holly in NC:

@P-90 - I have not, I've heard it's good, do you agree?
Avatar 1:11am Callieflower:

Oooh, so I was right about James Urbaniak!
Avatar 1:12am BadGuyZero:

Play something on Turntable 3 so we can enjoy hearing one channel only. :D
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:20am Ken From Hyde Park:

Sounds like a mash up of something and Therese's bed music.
Avatar 1:21am Holly in NC:

Psyched for Zombie Zombie on Julie's show!
Wow, also Ira Robbins (Trouser Press) on efd's show Wednesday & my twitter biddy Hallock Hill on Dan's show tomorrow night.

Morgan Delt is great, Therese :-)
  1:21am P-90:

@ BGZ: Ohhhh.... Its one of those true stories, they play a Native American mother and daughter...apparently the school freaked because it was shortly after Columbine, and the girl wrote "Goth stories." And even with the ACLU on their side, they got shafted in court. That IS a horror story. Tanks for the link, I''ll see if Netflix has it.

@ Holly: It's a somewhat forgettable '90s "Indie Classic" that's nevertheless worth seeing, and a must for "preternaturally pubescent" Christina Ricci completists
  1:23am P-90:

Wow! the trouser Press guy is on efd this week? I'm psyched
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:29am Matt from Springfield:

Flyin from Nyoo Awlin, flyin from Nyoo Awlin...
Hi Therese and peoples! :)
Avatar 1:30am Holly in NC:

I have several editions of the Trouser Press record guide, all majorly dog-eared, highlighted, and annotated .. HUGELY important to me. And the website's a great resource!
Avatar 1:30am Holly in NC:

Hi Matt!
  1:31am P-90:

@ Matt von SS: Ja wohl!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32am Matt from Springfield:

Hey Holly!
Hey P-90! (The SS is for Springfieldspass :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33am Matt from Springfield:

Wow, "Flowers in the Attic" discussion--Julie mentioned that book and movie a while ago, that's messed up!
Avatar 1:36am BadGuyZero:

When I was in middle school "Flowers in the Attic" and "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" were THEE books to read.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36am Matt from Springfield:

Um, I can't explain...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36am Ken From Hyde Park:

How does it compare with "Flowers for Algernon"?
  1:37am P-90:

@ Holly: I completely forgot that Trouser Press maintains an active website, thanks for the reminder. The mag was the COOLest thing going in the late 70's - early 80's, THE bible of the New Wave days. They did lots of cool things, I remember they were absolutely the first to suggest that The Monkees were worth a serious reappraisal.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37am Matt from Springfield:

@Ken HP: Those all are great stories, but they're planets apart in terms of subject matter, no real comparison between them.
Avatar 1:39am Holly in NC:

@Ken I almost started weeping just thinking about Flowers for Algernon. Oh man.. I need a Kleenex.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:39am Ken From Hyde Park:

@Matt - Yeah, not much in common beyond having the word "flowers" in the title.
  1:39am Julie:

The Nazz-ario Scenario
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:45am Matt from Springfield:

Sung by the Rund-o-Phonic Rund himself.
Hi Julie!
  1:46am P-90:

Avatar 2:07am fred von helsing:

back at the salt mine. Good morning, all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:07am fleep:

Hello peoples of many time zones.
  2:10am P-90:

Hi !XK, Fred von H, fleep
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:10am Matt from Springfield:

@BGZ: Back @home, flew back in @midnight! After painting the town green, I'll paint Flickr bright with my pics once I get them uploaded! Great acts at Jazzfest this weekend too!

Guten TZAG fleep! Howdy, salty fred! ;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:12am Matt from Springfield:

And hi to I X Key too--unlock the I X mystery!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:13am Therese:

Ooh, I love New Orleans and it is high-time I paid a return visit....
Avatar 2:13am BadGuyZero:

@Matt: Ten-four. I'm glad to hear you had a good time. Was there anyone at Jazzfest that stood out from the rest?
Avatar 2:18am fred von helsing:

CSP yes :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20am Matt from Springfield:

Big success for me Therese, whenever I immediately start thinking of where to go NEXT time!

@BGZ: The Boss singing with John Fogerty for 2 songs was a great highlight. There was also a terrific blues band called Butler, Bernstein & the Hot 9. Allen Toussaint joined them for a song as well.
Avatar 2:20am ! I X Key !:

! Happy salutations (o:
Avatar 2:21am ! I X Key !:

This spellchecker liked zowie but not wowie?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:21am Therese:

How was the food? I had something called Crawfish Madeline when I went to JazzFest awhile back and I still dream of it...
  2:21am Dan in Milwaukee:

good morning Therese and all listeners!
Avatar 2:22am fred von helsing:

@MvS you was in NOLA ?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:25am Matt from Springfield:

I was, FVH! Have you been there? I thoroughly rec taking a trip there to anyone!

@Therese: Like Thailand, it's sad now because I'm *never* going to find stuff here as good as I did on my trip! But my dreams came true of trying for the first time: po boys, fried oysters, alligator, rabbit jambalaya, chicory coffee, muffulettas and more!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:26am Matt from Springfield:

Morning Dan! (I had a nice sandwich at your airport a few days ago ;)

"Crawfish Monica" is what they were selling at the fairgrounds this year, rotini pasta salad with crawfish and spicy tomato sauce, pretty good.
Avatar 2:27am ! I X Key !:

Yum all up
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:28am Matt from Springfield:

To quote Clay Pigeon: "the MaxiYum"!
Avatar 2:28am fred von helsing:

@MvS have not :-( spent a long weekend in Tartu, Estonia, bars open 'round the clock, I hear NOLA's the same, but fried oysters oh man yum num did you bring enough for everyone ?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:29am Therese:

Crawfish Monica! That's what it was!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:31am Matt from Springfield:

@FVH: All will be shared, once our envisioned SnackuPlaylist™ is up and running...

@Therese: It has a Wiki page! So I'm sure other places serve it as well.
Avatar 2:34am fred von helsing:

SnackuPlaylist™ DIG and I hear Kenzo is integrating John Waters's Odorama
Avatar 2:35am BadGuyZero:

*ACK!* This Poppin' Pebbles cereal is dreadful. It's like Fruity Pebbles with less energetic Pop Rocks.
Avatar 2:36am BadGuyZero:

*speaking of Snackuplaylist*
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:38am Ken From Hyde Park:

@BGZ - I think you're supposed to pour cola on it, not milk.
Avatar 2:38am fred von helsing:

The PowerPuff Girls cereal fizzed like Pop Rocks, it was primo
Avatar 2:39am ! I X Key !:

Crawfish Monica sounds brilliant
Avatar 2:40am BadGuyZero:

I didn't know that there ever was a PowerPuff Girls cereal. Now I am sad.
Avatar 2:42am ! I X Key !:

With oysters or crab or something it's still called Crawfish Monica? Crawfish Monica of Oyster? I don't know how things work!
Avatar 2:44am fred von helsing:

@BGZ I have the box, it's on my fridge, I can take a picture and send it to you so you can be green w envy :-P
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:47am Matt from Springfield:

"Shrimp, crabmeat and oysters can be substituted for crawfish." I suppose then it would be shrimp/crab/oyster Monica; a culinary noun, much like __ Oscar, __ Florentine, or any other style with a choice of protein.
Avatar 2:49am ! I X Key !:

Monica is an awesome word to have for a dish with those ingredients after your choice, then
Avatar 2:50am BadGuyZero:

@FVH: I'll look it up on the interwebs. I can't believe I missed that. I love PowerPuff girls. I was so happy to be selling records when the soundtrack CD came out. There was a promo-only 7-inch single [pink vinyl!] that had Apples in Stereo on one side and Bis on the other. I still have a copy of it.
Avatar 2:52am BadGuyZero:

This cereal makes me want to never eat cereal again.
Avatar 2:52am BadGuyZero:

Avatar 2:57am fred von helsing:

@BGZ some promo vinyl, nice ! What did you think of the PpG special that came out a month or two ago ?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:59am fleep:

Thanks, Therese!
Avatar 2:59am BadGuyZero:

I wasn't too crazy about it. I didn't like the character designs. I'm not interested in anime-style PowerPuff Girls. It was a distraction for me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:00am Matt from Springfield:

Yikes! SDLLs!!
Avatar 3:01am BadGuyZero:

Mute Meat?
Avatar 3:01am fred von helsing:

I agree on the visual style, anime is wrong, but IIRC the story was OK (I was kinda loaded tho)
