  12:04pm Frank Above:

YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!
  12:07pm Frank Above:

Did Bob Pollard write this? Sounds like "Lord Of Overstock".
  12:08pm Bluesman:

Good day Joe. I almost forgot about tuning in....there goes another afternoon of "solid work."
  12:09pm jack:

whoe doggie
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:09pm Sem Chumbo:

Hiya, Joe!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm Dominick:

Man, every track of this Electric Mess record kills!!
  12:12pm Toddophonic:

I have it from a good source that Joe is playing a rare stock copy of 006!
  12:15pm drr:

tuned in in New Orleans
  12:16pm Bluesman:

Toddophonic - I noticed that the the background vocals are much more clear on the "rare stock copy" vs. digimitized metallic disc.
  12:18pm Sissophonic Cheryl:

How is the air up there, Joe?
Avatar 12:20pm Joe B:

Thanks for checkin in everyone! appreciate it!

Cheryl, rockin at the dentist office?
  12:21pm Sissophonic Cheryl:

Geator style! I'm leaving for the dentist soon, ugh.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21pm common:

yo philly!
Avatar 12:22pm Joe B:

Dominick, I agree!
  12:24pm Woo:

Right away you can tell who is playing drums for Jackie Lomax.
  12:27pm Mopery:

Shoulda fired his songwriter, though.
  12:31pm Ian Mac!!!:

Mr C
  12:37pm Toddophonic:

Al Wilson's "Lodi" is right up there with Johnny Rivers' version of "Jet Airliner"!
  12:37pm Woo:

Al Wilson-- I thought it was going to be The Snake but this is pretty cool too.
Avatar 12:37pm MissV:

CCR!
  12:39pm Jack:

Wow, just walked in on Lodi, smokes!
Avatar 12:41pm Joe B:

that is a good one also Woo!

good one T.O.T.!

hey Miss V!
Avatar 12:45pm Joe B:

Bluesman at least it might look like you are working!
  12:47pm Bluesman:

  12:49pm Jack:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:03pm Guido from Cologne:

In time!
hello Joe and everyone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:08pm Guido from Cologne:

Any DON ARDEN stories?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:09pm Guido from Cologne:

... ok, no need to ask ...
Avatar 1:10pm Joe B:

Hi Guido! wish he had more time, a million stories about everybody!
  1:12pm herb.nyc:

Great stories by Ian! Mayb a Billy Bragg story, plz?
  1:19pm Woo:

Outstanding recording. Love that piano sound and his voice has aged so well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19pm Guido from Cologne:

Finding better-generation masters @ CBS vaultsis interesting. You know Clive Davis completely snubbed Andrew Loog oldham / Immediate and didn't support the Small Faces hits at all.
  1:19pm Marmalade Kitty:

Hello Joe, Ian and all!
Avatar 1:21pm d¢ pät:

yeah man, voice sounds great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:21pm Guido from Cologne:

other story is, small faces weren't really in shape for the stage around the "nut Gone flake" period. Dunno howw much is true about it really.
  1:23pm herb.nyc:

Calif singer Haroula Rose fb'd of a songwriting class led by Ian, in england. She loved it!
  1:23pm Will from Bloomfield:

Great song!!
  1:28pm ja:

kiiiinda messed up to imply Kanye West and Beyoncé Knowles don't make real music/care about it
  1:30pm Mopery:

Depends on your point of view.
  1:31pm Lulu:

good stuff!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:35pm Guido from Cologne:

Steve Marriott was my first idol
  1:35pm herb.nyc:

I just learned this from vaudeville expert Trav S.D., that Chico Marx is said as "chick-o". Bec of his way with, yep, chicks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36pm Stevel:

Tremendous stories and, more importantly perhaps, Ian sounds like a lovely chap. Bravo to him and Joe B!
  1:40pm ja:

Mopery: OK, sure, but they've been working on their craft since they were pre-pubescent and having to deal with racism/elitism to this day. Now they're millionaires – they could quit if they wanted – and they're STILL working and teaching people about self-belief, feminism, black history. They deserve more than to be shrugged off as a fad
Avatar 1:41pm Joe B:

probably the same view most over 60 have of any music different from their own. or people over 30 had of the beatles in 1964, etc.
Avatar 1:41pm Mailman Tom:

Ian, did you play at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY back in the early 70s?
  1:42pm Mopery:

Ian will not be answering your questions at this time.
Avatar 1:45pm Joe B:

hi Tom, sorry this is on tape from a couple weeks ago.
  1:47pm listener monica:

thank you. I am loving this!
  1:49pm Steve:

Hello Ian and Joe !
Ian, can you play something from The Small Faces and/or from 'Ogden's Nut Gone Flake' ? Thank you for all of the great music !
  1:50pm mrmucho:

ja needed a trigger warning
  1:53pm Lulu:

I love it when Joe gets distracted mid-sentence & looses his train of thought. I can totally relate to that :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:54pm efd:

Outstanding interview Joe, and the songs sounded great! Kudos to Irene!
  1:54pm Lulu:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm Guido from Cologne:

is this one channel of a block stereo or backing track or demo mix?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm common:

my friend gave me an old video cassette of tons of small faces live footage and studio stuff. so great! think i lost it.
Avatar 1:56pm Joe B:

thanks efd. I tried to get Glad and Sorry out of him as i saw him do that at his Lucky Lounge gig in Austin years ago it was a highlight of the set. even better was the heartfelt intro he gave the song.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm Guido from Cologne:

anyway: loved the interview Joe!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm KevinfromBayRidge:

Good day all. Ian was worth the 3 week wait. Great job, Joe & Irene
Avatar 1:57pm Joe B:

my bosses don't find my ADD quite so entertaining!
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 1:57pm Jeff from Rahway:

Wow, Joe....fab soul cover!

Maxine Brown brought the Ponderosa house down last october in new orleans!
  2:00pm SHIMMY:

Avatar 2:01pm Joe B:

thanks Shimmy and Guido and jeff and Kevin!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:01pm Dominick:

Maxine was great the She's Got the Power 2 summers ago.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:02pm Guido from Cologne:

Stunned to hear!
Would have loved to see Maxine Brown!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:06pm Guido from Cologne:

The funniest thing was to hear was that JOHN FAHEY was a big ROD STEWARD fan! (In the documentary.) Anyone would have expected that ?!?!
Avatar 👻 2:07pm David Shortell:

I just tuned in. Did Ian mention that he’ll be at Vintage Vinyl on the 16th for a performance and signing? A pre-order of his new album will gain admission to the event.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:07pm Guido from Cologne:

... good point to drop a reference to the John Allen show tomorrow .. ;-)
  2:08pm Listener Bob:

Hey Joe! See you at Ortlieb's on Friday for The Stents, The Improbables and The Insomniacs! Rock on, crowned Earl Of Tuesday Afternoons! You're killin' it today!
  2:10pm Eric:

Living in Texas and calling the album United States, sounds like he's making up for the Small Faces never having participated in the British Invasion.
  2:10pm John L.:

A guy just walked by the store wearing a Three Chord Monte t-shirt, but he didn't come in. Maybe I need to turn up the stereo.
Avatar 2:10pm d¢ pät:

whoa, thought this might be DLL. Even more insane than last one...

Of course this was "nothing but crap for the teeny girls".
  2:29pm Detour:

Wow...What a COOL version of Red Shift!
Avatar 2:30pm MacGuffin:

Is there a colour theme developing?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:31pm Parq:

Guido, I've seen a lot and been through many revisions of my own musical taste, and I am currently of the opinion that "crap for the teeny girls" has an estimable place in the pop music pantheon.
  2:31pm Listener Bob:

this ISN'T the Bay City Rollers? cool tune.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:32pm Parq:

(Okay, that probably sounded a little too much like the Sunday times, but you get what I'm saying.)
  2:32pm LydiaG:

Was that really Sex Clark Five??
Avatar 2:35pm d¢ pät:

BBBBBBBIIIIIILLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:38pm Guido from Cologne:

@Parq
Sure enough. Usually the use of qutation marks mean (in my case) "not necessarily my own opinion right now in the moment". Believe me, my shelves are stuffed wit all kinds of douptable "crap". to beginn with german schlagers ...
By the way half of Kenny are the cover boys of the comp:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:40pm Guido from Cologne:

The musicians of Kenny started with prog before they were hired by the Bay City Rollers songwriter team.
