The missus reports that the movers have completed schlepping boxes into the new place. If you cannot pray for the vinyl that has been thumping around all day, at least pray for the collection of ceramic smoking babies & their associated cigarette packs...

About 3:20, I was in my car driving home. 90.1 wasn't coming in too well, but I could make out some drone. I flipped it to a local station at 91.3 and, behold, also some drone. I felt like Groundskeeper Willie tuning in his various bagpipe stations.

Wrong Pyramids track? Or wrong Failure track? The diagrammy thing at the link above says "Land of Eternal Song Suite part 3" is 1-2. In any event, yeah, Butcher is sui generis. I think I first heard him live at Victo: http://www.johnbutcher.org.uk/min_coda.html Blew me away.

Hi everyone!

i listened to the most part of the show on my bicycle making quite a few kilometers.
Right in tim back to flee dry a monsoon-like thundersturm.
i suggest rice-farming for the rhineland.
I just could enter the main door in time.
and i put on my bathing suit to pull the bicycle to the garage.
no chance to avoid getting wet.

Guido sounds like Minnesota's month of June.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:27pm

Annette Peacock !!!

i lost the announcement, is it that record made before "i'm the one" which was left unpublished at the time?

A World That's Destroying Itself ... i just got a taste ... monsoon in Germany.

I've always wondered why it is we can build pipelines to send oil where we want it, but can't build something as lengthy and elaborate to send water from drenched areas to drought areas.

Well, it's only 233 miles, but http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Angeles_Aqueduct. (No, the initial "Well" was not an intentional pun.)
Avatar 5:46pm

@kat330 Had the exact same thought this afternoon reading about the local drought, farmers going belly up. How advanced is a civilization that still has to pray for rain?

Gotta be something beyond the cynical view of "money talks," like evaporation, pollution issues. Because eventually -- not that far off -- water will be this planet's most prized commodity.

A.Peacock sounded like she was singing through an old Echoplex tape-loop echo effect, which had a built-in ring modulation circuit. Robert Plant also used it for vocals.
