Here in New Scotland, gravy is the fifth food group, after cigaettes, weiners, diet Fresca and string cheese.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:35am

Electric Nubians great group name and great neo-psych track.
Avatar 4:22am
Bill Mac:

@Guido Duly noted....
Nice to hear you liked the Nubians... I use to play that track years ago at the Philly station I was at. At some point I checked the credits and noticed that the guy that engineered the record went to the same grade school that I did. Turns out the band also lived in the neighborhood. Wonder what happened to them..

Electric Nubians, 1994 , interesting time.

Did you know delia Derbyshire stopped activity in electronic music because of availability of modular snynthesizer?
Seems kinda weird.

But for my part, I myself also stopped my sampling madness, when it becam a simple drag&drop-thing with automatic time-stretch on windows. so I have a certain idea..

Avatar 4:40am
Bill Mac:

Thanks BV, you are correct. That's another activity/game we have here. I call it "Fix Bills' Mistakes"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:40am
Fran:

Dr Who is a bumpy ride for me:
Jon Pertwee - my early childhood - great
Tom Baker - genius and great scarves
Peter Davidson - good not great
Colin Baker - Rochdale connections so have to like a little
Sylvester McCoy - truly awful to me but some love his take so....
The more recent rebirth of the Doctor on BBC TV is quite something after the various failed restarts of the 90s but I miss the shaky sets and everything being in an abandoned quarry if outdoors - damn these bigger budgets!!

Excellent Stanley - it will soon be Cutler time!! Bill - you got any Ivor in stock - Life in A Scotch Sitting Room Vol 2 for example?
Avatar 4:56am

Richard Dawson, was he primarily known as a comic over there? Once he got here he was an actor (Hogans Heroes) and the host of Wheel of Fortune - I can here him exhorting "Survey said!" as we speak.

Ivor Cutler - yes! Lemmee see what's back there...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:57am

Love Ivor Cutler. Once met the man when I was a college ents officer. Picked him up from the railway station and he spent the journey extolling the virtues of train travel. Eccentric doesn't even start to describe him.

That IC story was much like something I experienced when I was in Africa (when I was younger man). Stuck in this remote village we only had dried termites to eat. But if you cooked them they fluffed up, so with plenty of salt and someone making wooshing sounds in your ear, it was like eating shrimp.
