I had pancakes (American style yesterday).

Guido from Cologne:

Can it be that the Residents layer by layer unfold the real background story of their "pop-group-image-sculpture" (not to talk about "identity")?

The "Delta Nudes" comp seemed to be such a step. the Randy Rose persona doesn't really bother to hide of Homer Flynn.
And though the official outtakes of the current documetary at wor k doesn't directly give a sign about "unvailing", I'm curious actually.

Fresh dates, then kiwi fruit with yogurt and honey from some hives about three miles way. Yum.

@Bayta, that kohlrabi is a tough old veg.

Avatar 3:56am

@ Emile where can I get it ?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58am
Sem Chumbo:

Quill missed a key opportunity to appear in the Woodstock film... a glitch in the film/audio system made it such that the audio and film were not synchronized properly. This rendered the footage unusable... The problem was fixed in time for Santana the next band up and their appearance in the film sealed the band's later success.

We still have it Bill........its called Rotherham in South Yorkshire
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:05am
Brian in UK:

I prefer the Ironing Age, it was much cleaner.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:05am
Brian in UK:

The Independent State of South Yorkshire.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:06am
Fran:

It was cleaner Brian but they still had a few wrinkles.....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:07am
Brian in UK:

We've all got some of them, Fran. Apart from our beloved DJ.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08am
Fran:

It is the Independent State of South Yorkshire but they still perform the war cry of all Yorkshire regularly each day....'HOWWWW MUCH!!!!!'
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08am

And so the Ironing age gave way to the invention of Sta-Press fabrics.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:09am

Then followed the 'Just add water - makes it's own sauce' apocalypse.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:10am
Brian in UK:

Fran do they still go to the top their stairs?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:10am
Fran:

Sem - you have missed out the historically important Bri-nylon and Winceyette eras where fashion, itchiness and fire hazard briefly met
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11am
Fran:

To the top of the stairs yes and also regularly invoke the ghost of My Giddy Aunt
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11am

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:14am
Brian in UK:

Fran I See the Yorkshire Sculpture Park won the museum of the year award.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:15am
Fran:

Bill - the revelation of the week is this wonderful historical release from Owen Maercks 'Teenage Sex Therapist' - what a record - are you going to play anything from it? And my week has also been fired up by the news of another ridiculously large but to me essential King Crimson box set based on Starless and Bible Black and the live dates around that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:15am
Sem Chumbo:

Wasn't this group once called Big-Eyed Beans from Venus?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:18am
Fran:

Sem - count yourself lucky. A northern childhood in the 70's here involved being dragged through the nylon emporium called Brentford Nylons (I itch and shiver with electric shock at the memory) for various household nylons. I've never been able to visit Brentford on the back of that!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:19am
Brian in UK:

Fran the sainted Joe McGasko played Owen Maercks on Thursday. Tee Hee.
Avatar 4:19am
Bill Mac:

@Fran - I wonder if you and I are cruising some of th same web sites - I've come across the KC collection, and while I'm fascinated by it I don't know if I can process 30 live shows.
That being said, there's still a lot of amazing poop to be acquired out there in virtual land....
is the Owen Maercks thing new?
Avatar 4:19am
Bill Mac:

@Brian Joe who?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20am
Fran:

Yes Brian - YSP did well there. It is a great place but has the most ridiculous parking system requiring you have around £8 in change which is also your entry. No end of frustration for visitors!
Avatar 4:21am

Good morning Bill & everyone.
Avatar 4:22am

Looms!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23am
Brian in UK:

Looms I saw your name and immediately thought of savoury galettes. I mean that in the nicest way.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23am
Fran:

Brian - Bill has corrected your memory - it was played by St Joe the Unmentioned which is his full name.
Bill - the Maercks LP is a new limited run LP of old material not previously released. As for Crimson - I thought the same about Road to Red but when I got it I found myself wading through it quite happily if taken in the right dosage!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:25am
Sem Chumbo:

@Brian: just last Sunday I made a galette des Rois (King cake) for an out-of-season Mardi Gras party.
Avatar 4:25am
Bill Mac:

mmmm galettes! how could you take it any other way?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:26am

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:28am

@Fran Seems like many folk based bands really got awkward when they tried updating their sound. Maybe it was just the 70s. There was a lot of bad rekkids coming out back then.

KILLER SHOW this morning!

True Bill - I think it was the shock of being told to have trim beards and less chunky knitwear - perhaps even a Bri Nylon side effect?
Avatar 5:40am

Yeah, 70s fashions help put the faux in folk...
