A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

@Whosondephone: He is on the radio from 6 - 9, and Marty and others at that time are internet only. Used to confuse me also because I was never in the car listening at that time, only online, and the random cuts of his shows would bleed in at the end.

Whosondephone, JM in the AM now has his/its own stream too, though it's a little hard to find from WFMU's front page. It' on for more hours than Nachum's time slot would lead you to think. Nachum brings in a lot of the financial support for the station, too.

For a while in the 1980s (maybe farther back too), JM in the AM was followed for an hour by Radio Kol Torah, but IIRC that ended at 9 AM anyway.

Here's a suggestion for the Ferguson PD to justify all these bullets. By now it's obvious that the force doesn't consider African-Americans as human beings, so how could the valiant officer be expected to know that 5 bullets, including one to the head, would be enough to stop him? Nobody knows what's excessive force when you're battling an unknown lifeform that rarely shows up in this town. Well, in a police uniform, that is
