Favoriting October 15, 2014: AM GOLD THROWDOWN with special guest combatant CLAY PIGEON!

Listen to this show: Pop-up listen Pop-up player!

It's week three of WFMU's Silent Fundraiser and Mascot Contest, and I've got another special show to remind you of how awesome WFMU is (and hopefully to motivate you to pledge).

Tonight Clay Pigeon returns for another throwdown, this time of the AM Gold variety. This should be an exciting rematch of last year's Power Pop Throwdown, albeit with more soothing music. And if you think that this show is only going to include Top 40 hits, think again! AM Gold is a state of mind, maaan, not a chart position. It's up to you to decide whose gold is greater!
Now, because this is a SILENT fundraiser I won't be talking about it much at all during my show which means I'm depending on the written word to convince you to PLEASE PLEDGE! We're asking for your help so we can outfit our recently opened performance space, Monty Hall, with some key audio gear and an instrument backline so that having a show in Monty Hall doesn't disrupt the station's live recording studio.

If you've already pledged, THANK YOU! Your support is greatly appreciated. If not,
P L E A S E   P L E D G E   N O W !

Stay tuned for more exciting special shows all month, and please take a moment to Like The Evan "Funk" Davies Show on Facebook and follow me on Twitter! Thank you.!

AM radio covers more geographic area but FM is in stereo. I feel like AM Gold connotes broad appeal, while FM Gold would be a little more... what's the word... esoteric? There's probably a better word than esoteric, but you get the idea. Cultured?
