There are some terrific alternative meanings of "slut" in OED: primarily, " A woman of dirty, slovenly, or untidy habits or appearance"; then "A kitchen-maid; a drudge"; and "A troublesome or awkward creature"; " A piece of rag dipped in lard or fat and used as a light"; and the compound "slut's wool n. the fluff or dust left on the floor, etc., by a sluttish servant or person."

I also had it happen twice in the last month that they received my dvd on a Friday but didn't ship a new one out til monday, which really burns my biscuits.
Avatar 5:15pm

I think everyone from Slate to Gawker is doing that now. I just Google "Netflix adds, December" or "Netflix drop, December." Hope this helps.

It helps me, but I'm still annoyed at them. Thanks Cecile
Avatar 5:19pm

I would be, too. Good luck.
  5:20pm
GGG:

Perhaps expectations need to be managed. Their adds and drops are dependent on the studios and media companies they form licensing contracts with, so it's not all on Netflix. Service is pretty good, otherwise.
Avatar 5:21pm
Cecile:

I agree, GGG. Sometimes it can be a little frustrating, though. But those add/drop lists are really helpful.

and when I was in college (late 1970s/early 1980s) an engineering student who lived in the same apartment as me would go fishing in the RARITAN! and cook and eat what he caught -- GROSS!!! worse than the Hudson, IMHO
