Last time i truly enjoyed eggnog was when i was about 18 (that was 1877)...my father used to make it. 3 gallon recipe had something like 2-1/2 quarts (3-1/2?) bourbon,a pint of scotch & a pint of dark red rum. Then it aged for 3 weeks.It was delicious and mellow; and,at 10-12 years old,i remember it sneaking up on me.
