This is where all of culture and all of time are collapsed into one seductive portal and viewed through the panoramic lens of the exotic. Come and embark on an armchair-travel virtual-voyage to the heart of timeless darkness and beyond; embrace the numinous monolith of the exotic immensity. Let us find that place where hybridization meets its destiny as pure fantasy. Let us become observers observing those others who are ourselves. You wear your mask and I'll wear mine.

Last show was a messy affair. A botched expedition with no survivors. Let's set down this same trail and find better fates this time around.

Huh, Flash Strap, I'll be down in Orlando in 3 weeks. Brother is getting married (ironically in Mexico [rest of the fam lives in FL]). I had to borrow $ from my brother to attend his own wedding, It looks like I'll probably get a jobby job come May if all goes according to plan, then I can finally get my heart again,... (next to my avatar)
Avatar 7:16pm
Flash Strap:

Sounds like a good time, NGH. Where you heading in Mexico?
Avatar 7:19pm
northguineahills:

Cancun. Ironic since next week I have an interview for my wife's immigration process, and I met her in Monterrey, 8 years ago (I have never been to the resort towns in Mexico).

My brothers mentioned there was a lot of purple in Orlando last weekend (yes, they were at that game).
Avatar 7:21pm
Flash Strap:

Best of luck to you in your jobby job man! I hope May does indeed bring good things.

I love Mexico but I've never been to Cancun. Lived in San Miguel de Allende for a couple years but that's all I've seen

Hey Doug! Never better than when I see you in the place!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:37pm

The restaurants here are pretty weak. We have one Thai place and it's not too bad. I usually get the roast duck with ginger...LOTS of ginger.

Hoo, where I am there are four nearby Thai joints, all on the same street, all owned by the same guy, all totally mediocre.

The hands-down best General Tso's I've ever had (Chef Chang's House, Boston—RIP) was not stingy with the ginger. Oooh baby.
