Hi Therese. Hope you're doing well tonight. =)
Avatar 12:07am -andrew-:

Evening all!
Avatar 12:08am ottovonbqe:

Nice start
Avatar 12:08am BadGuyZero:

My introduction to that Gordon Lightfoot song was via Barbra Streisand covering it on her album "Stoney End."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10am Tome:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15am pacific standard simon:

bryan ferry, my favorite septuagenarian?

(ok he's not 70 quite yet...)
  12:27am Steve-O:

Watching the storms south of D/FW, Texas: can't help but feel really bad for Johnson Co. right now-it's been a really rough night for them so far, with at least *one* strong, damaging tornado having caused significant damage south of Cleburne, TX. And what really sucks? A similar tornado caused a lot of damage on 5/15/13-just under two years ago. =(
  12:32am hesh:

tell 'em: "i'll see you again, maybe by accident?"
Avatar 12:33am BadGuyZero:

@Steve-O: I fired up my scanner tonight for the first time this year so I could monitor what the storm spotters were saying. A few hours ago it looked like Dallas was going to get some of the red stuff. Right now it's nothing but a lot of thunder.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33am pacific standard simon:

You could have played Neil COVERING Gordon, Therese.
  12:33am Steve-O:

@BGZ: Same here in north Frisco, TX. We dodged a bullet today.....
Swag For Life Member 12:34am steveplusone:

more neil!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35am pacific standard simon:

Think of all the diverted flights that were supposed to stop at DFW.
  12:36am KP:

This is quite cool, Therese
  12:37am JakeGould:

Hey Therese! Checking in quickly to thank you for the Mr. Do tip at Barcade. Went there this past Saturday, and I was the only other person to get their initials up on the high score list. Me (JAK) and some other guy named "VAS." Only two people in the area care about Mr. Do. I do! And that VAS whoever they are.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37am pacific standard simon:

Oh, I thought you said "Amon Duul"!
Avatar 12:47am Patrick F.:

I'm into this
Avatar 12:55am ottovonbqe:

I love all these songs
  12:58am Steve-O:

Been having a fair number of Windows related computer issues lately.....anyone else have their computer freeze on them? It's happened *twice* tonight. Within 40 minutes of one another. =(
Avatar 1:02am BadGuyZero:

@Steve-O: That used to happen with my old laptop. I rebooted and restored from a previous backup. I disabled automatic Windows updates as there had been a glitch in an update that was causing the freezing problem.
  1:06am Steve-O:

@BGZ: Thanks. I do believe I may have had a System Restore point done recently, so I'll try to look into it soon. =)
Avatar 1:07am BadGuyZero:

Black metals!
Avatar 1:08am BadGuyZero:

Someone from Dethklok would have said "black metals."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11am Tome:

according to here > bit.ly... < of the pure elements only boron and carbon are black but non metals ..
Avatar 1:13am BadGuyZero:

If black metal were a metal I think it would be either yttrium or cobalt. Ytrrium sounds like the name of a black metal band. There was a black metal band named Cobalt [I'm uncertain whether or not they're still active; I hope 'cause they were good].
  1:15am Tino:

What is the background music during the ID? Anyone know??
Avatar 1:18am BadGuyZero:

@ Tino: "Pling" by Shuggie Otis.
  1:21am Tino:

BG0, thank you!!! Really nice stuff. Just like this show!
Avatar 1:23am the Canterbury wood-elf:

K, D and L's mother Ingrid Weiss used to be in The Raincoats. She plays guitar with her kids when they tour. Very cool family...
Avatar 1:30am BadGuyZero:

I'm heading to Austin to smash the state with my face*!

[*not really]
Avatar 1:47am BadGuyZero:

I'm surprised that this storm hasn't put out the lights in my neighborhood.
  1:50am P-90:

Gesundheit, Therese!
Avatar 2:18am BadGuyZero:

Death & Vanilla are fantastic! Fans of Broadcast should definitely check them out.
Avatar 2:21am BadGuyZero:

There's another band called You'll Never Get To Heaven that's similar to this. I highly recommend them as well.
Avatar 2:42am BadGuyZero:

Dance party!
  2:44am rw:

Hey! Tuning in a little late here... I used to work with a guy who's girlfriend was a Dominatrix. She would get paid to do stuff like go out to a fancy restaurant with some dude, get into a huge fight, throw food all over him and walk out.
Avatar 2:48am BadGuyZero:

That antenna was so tall that God was able to use it to scratch the bottom of his feet.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:50am Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, Therese. Hi, late nighters.
  2:50am Steve-O:

Yeah. growing up in the mid-late '90s(born in 1990), we didn't have anything more than basic TV until 1997 or so, and it was pretty basic for a while.....but Cartoon Network(and Boomerang!) and Nickelodeon where just all that I needed to be entertained, pretty much(as well as some decent stuff on the normal channels). =)
  2:53am P-90:

Lost pages?! Huh?
Avatar 2:54am BadGuyZero:

In the mid-80s, one of the TV stations in the DFW metromess partnered with a top 40 station to air a music video show late at night on Fridays. The radio station simulcast the audio so you could hear the songs in stereo while watching their accompanying videos.
Avatar 2:55am BadGuyZero:

The keytar was created on the island of Doctor Muro.
Avatar 2:58am BadGuyZero:

Ooh! What is this?
Avatar 3:00am BadGuyZero:

Thanks for the soundtrack to tonight's storm, Therese! See you back here next time.
  3:01am Steve-O:

Alright, Therese, thanks again for another wonderful show! =)
