After hearing so much of John's guitar isolated, my appreciation of him as a musician has grown.

@RRN63: years ago i went back and realized that the "early" (Cavern/Hamburg/methamphetamine) Fabs did basically "two rhythm guitar + lead bass" arrangements.
...when very young - thot early Beatles distinct for being before Pop & Rock separated- which may be true somewhat - but now recognize they were a unique Fusion music of their own @ the time for playing Pop & other things as well as Guitar-Bass-Drums-Vocals unit - w/ a large nod to Buddy...
- Sir Macca's agility to play Bass in the Rhythm section & also so melodically - & then sing something else brilliantly - & makes it look simple: he's an odd bird in leaving people to figure where they should credit him for themselves, & then making a point about getting credit for odd things...
- Infinite Beatle-geekout chatter is possible...

One man's opinion: STICK with this trend. For a while anyway.
@Gaylord: Apropos to nothing but 60s pop, just scored this annotated cover of Abbey Road with convenient labels to remind me which Beatle is which for one whole dollar.
I am a Gemini. So what kind of deal do you have with us Geminis, pal?

Surprisingly it works in the same way as in the Northern one, even though we don't have the same constellations. The fact that the ancient Babylonians didn't know there was a Souther Hemisphere with a different sky doens't seem to affect astrology's accuracy (irony intended).
I wish I could go down to the corner, get my weight and learn my destiny for 25 cents. Instead I can just go to the bathroom scale, then load a free app on my $99-$299 iPhone and panic and do Google searches for the next hour. WHAT A COUNTRY!
Good Lord - Beatles & Astrology. Fortunately, I know better than to start down roads too long to get home from before dark...It is neat-o though that Brian Wilson is basically born on Summer Solstice, & two days after Sir Macca.
I saw TOE at Arsenal theatre in Berlin. I am certain the quality of this version could not have been trumped. I could see every detail, while seated in the second row!
@Golde: Also, the later cut you certainly saw restores Welles' vision for the looooong tracking shot of an opening scene (no credits; all music diegetic).
Restoration of one's vision is key. I have decidedly avoided all Orson Welles related films... except for my favorite reading of “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner,” something my father, an art history professor, showed me in childhood many times. My question is when is the right time to see CK?

Gaylord, I doubt Brian really thought that. It's just an offhand comment he throws at Murry during the "Help Me Rhonda" battle.
Gaylord Fields:
Similar to you, I was fortunate enough to see Sweet Smell of Success on the big screen in London.
Gaylord Fields:
Uncle Michael:
Yes, when Murry is explaining that the Beach Boys will never have another hit if they don't sing from the heart, Brian asks "oh, like Johnny Rivers?"
