Truth be told, I think Nick's show and Miniature Minotaurs would make for some swell back-to-back programming in an alternate universe.

Miniature Minotaurs is BACK, Bitches.
Avatar 12:23am Kurt Gottschalk:

Avatar 12:24am Claw!:

I did, thank you!
But I did not get a chance to read it all. I saw it was from you, saw it was kind of long whilst skimming it, so I marked it as "unread," and made a mental note to come back to it in the morning.

The Lyme test came back negative, so that's good. :-)
Avatar 12:25am Claw!:

My schedule is different now, so I can no longer stay up til 3:00am. I will likely be turning in soon-ish. Bleah.
  12:26am V Priceless:

Color me strapped, then!

Glad to hear that, Claw!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27am Ike:

Hey folks! Hey there Kurt, this timeslot really suits you. Not that I'm advocating that you joust Nick Name for it or anything like that.
Avatar 12:29am Kurt Gottschalk:

thanks ike. i had midnight-3 on sundays some years back. always felt comfy to me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29am fleep:

Piano overtones are more fun than the actual notes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:30am Ken From Hyde Park:

Glad you're over that illness, Claw!, and that you don't have Lyme. Whatever it was, I hope it doesn't come back.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:31am Ike:

Wait, joust isn't a transitive verb, is it? Joust WITH Nick Name? AGAINST Nick Name? Fracking frickity-frock.

Bear! i'm glad it's not (probably) lyme. are you feeling normal again?
...i wont be offended if you think that's all malarkey;& i'm not assuming you don't already know some of it. i just was concerned and thought it may help.
  12:34am joe:

love the word 'unflappable.' great show
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:34am uraniamylonas:

Thanks Cken, me too. It was a real bad time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36am Philthy woman:

I'll skip, run, move quickly with you! Even if I have to adjust my ear body to the 'wrong speed'- this is nice. Nice to hear you on the radio again Kurt
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37am coelacanth:

urania....Good one!

hi Ike
  12:39am Claw!:

Nah, I appreciate the advice, Fish. I will admit to being a little skeptical of *some* homeopathic remedies/alternative medicine, but definitely not all of it. I have had some success with the treatment of other conditions using natural remedies, so I am open to them. :-)
I am feeling back to my usual self, finally. It took a while, but I am so grateful for being back to normal again!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39am uraniamylonas:

good day, peoples. Remember to tip your Minotaurs generously.

  12:51am V Priceless:

Nifty modulation there!
  12:58am JakeGould:

@Claw!: Hope you are feeling well. If homeopathy hippie stuff works for you, more power to you. But for me, rest and water helps. Which sounds naive but honestly the second I respected those two needs more things got better for me and my stuff.
  12:58am Claw!:

Welp, beautiful people... I'm outskis. I wish you all a good night (morning?). Until we meet again.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:39am Ike:

Ha ha, agreed, Jake.
Avatar 1:40am Kurt Gottschalk:

absolutely! but who knew they were still laying shit like that down in 2012? i didn't until a couple weeks ago (even if it's the only good song on the record).
  1:42am V Priceless:

I hear you, Kurt! I never would have guessed that was later-day 'smith!
  1:44am V Priceless:

What about 'Escape from the Planet of The Valley of the Dolls'?
  1:46am JakeGould:

Mark my words folks: The hipster kids with their “vinyls” will be staging an Aerosmith revival/reappreciation. Also, reminds me I should floss. Thanks Aerosmith!
Avatar 1:46am Kurt Gottschalk:

aerosmith is a better band than boston.
  1:49am JakeGould:

@Kurt: That’s a debate I really never want to be a part of.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49am Ike:

Yeah, agreed w/VP@1:42. Aerosmith does an excellent Aerosmith impression, and I don't mean that in a snarky way. Also, @Jake, I just assumed the Aerosmith hipster appreciation had already started.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:52am osvi:

What? What? A worthy fill in for my boy, Nick Name! Peace, to the Minotaur, bringing them ill beats.
Avatar 1:54am Kurt Gottschalk:

hi hi osvi!
  1:57am V Priceless:

I think there's something to be said for Aerosmih's longevity. Boston cold never keep it together due to all the bitter in-fighting and legal BS.
  1:58am JakeGould:

@Ike: Maybe hipster ladies are wearing customized 3/4 sleeve Aerosmith shirts, but I’m not too sure folks are into the tunes in some reverential/rediscovered way.
  2:05am V Priceless:

could never
Avatar 2:14am Kurt Gottschalk:

  2:16am JakeGould:

  2:17am V Priceless:

This show if flying, Kurt!
Avatar 2:17am Kurt Gottschalk:

ok, i want 100 comments on an overnight slot. that's right, i'm asking for it. this is #94.
Avatar 2:18am Kurt Gottschalk:

and thanks, veep. i got a lot to get out of my system here.
  2:18am V Priceless:

@ Jake: indeed I am, and I still haven't found the keys I've been searching for!
  2:19am V Priceless:

Is flying...see what I mean? Adam Clayton Powell gremlins!
  2:22am V Priceless:

Can't blame ya, KG, especially after the time lost on the stream a week or so ago!
Avatar 2:22am Kurt Gottschalk:

oh, it's nice to not worry about swears....
Avatar 2:23am Kurt Gottschalk:

OH MY GOD veep, that was so frustrating!
  2:23am V Priceless:

I bet. I wouldn't last 5 minutes on terrestrial radio.
Avatar 2:26am Jeff:

What's all this ruckus?

Oh, it's Kurt!

Kurt, don't you realize it's quite late? This is a bit shouty.
Avatar 2:27am Kurt Gottschalk:

hey, i gotta stay awake for another half hour!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:28am Ike:

Ha ha @VP, I'm going to use the phrase "Bono-possessed iPhone" from now on.
  2:28am V Priceless:

Do u get to crash in the DJ loft above studio B?
  2:29am V Priceless:

Ha! U know it, Ike! Arghhh
  2:30am JakeGould:

I think there is nothing more bizarre than Apple selling U2 branded versions of their product. And only that. I mean if they cut deals for different bands that might seem to crass. But to pick U2 as their high-end, luxury pop-band du jour for how long now? 10+ years? There are kids alive today who forever will connect Apple to U2. WHY!?!?!?!?!
Avatar 2:30am Kurt Gottschalk:

naw, eff that noise. i'm going home.
  2:30am V Priceless:

Yay! XTC!
Avatar 2:31am Jeff:

But of course, I came out of the womb saying "Get off my lawn."

I've been unfairly prejudiced against the shouty at all ages, including those at which others became really fond of snarly, loud or bombastic things. I was all "what's this noise?" in my teens.

You can imagine how well I got along with the other little rotters.
  2:32am JakeGould:

I grew up with a bedroom window facing a subway. Not like right next to it, but inset from the block. It took me years to get used to sleeping without the rumble of trains or an announcer shouting, “Pay your fare!”
Avatar 2:34am Jeff:

I read that there was a big Specials remastering fest recently. Is this one of the results?
Avatar 2:34am Kurt Gottschalk:

yeah, all three records came out as double cds. this is that. they sound gorgeous.
