  12:08am Steve-O:

Hi Therese! You wanna know something interesting? I actually heard Courtney Barnett on the radio today! =)
  12:09am Steve-O:

The song, btw, was "Dead Fox". On 91.7 here in Dallas. =)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10am Matt from Springfield:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36am Matt from Springfield:

Nice fretless bass, I thought this was going to be Kate Bush at first - but same era, same country.
Avatar 12:40am BadGuyZero:

I heard Lucia Pamela!
Avatar 12:45am BadGuyZero:

Flip flop fly!

Avatar 12:47am BadGuyZero:

TRIVIA: Lucia Pamela's daughter was the owner of the Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams.
Avatar 12:50am Jeff:

Shut up, I missed the Dewan show because I wasn't paying attention to "dates" and "calendars" and I'm annoyed with myself.
  12:51am P-90:

Hello T ! Very nice first set.
Avatar 12:55am Jeff:

Wouldn't a Dynasty-style fight be a recreation of a fight which had already happened on Dallas?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56am Tome:

wow have times changed -- > bit.ly...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56am Therese:

Jeff- it's all Aaron Spelling, isn't it? (Dallas was an Aaron Spelling show, wasn't it?)
Avatar 12:59am BadGuyZero:

TV viewers love a good poolside/in-the-pool tussle.
Avatar 1:01am ! I X Key !:

It's moon people! They're having a wedding ceremony! They're dancing & singing!
Avatar 1:01am Jeff:

Now you made me look it up. I always remembered Dynasty as a later Dallas clone, and that's what it looks like - Dallas (no Spelling involvement that I immediately see) started in 1978, then Spelling rolled out the purely-coincidentally-really-similar Dynasty starting in 1981.
  1:02am rw:

  1:02am JakeGould:

@Therese: Aaron Spelling has produced a lot, but he has nothing to do with “Dallas.”
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:06am Therese:

How did Knots Landing and Falcon Crest fit in to this puzzle? One was a Dallas spin-off, I think?
  1:07am JakeGould:

As I look this up, million dollar idea: Don Knotts Landing
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07am Therese:

80's prime time soaps all kind of blend together in a blur of shoulder pads.
  1:10am JakeGould:

“Falcon Crest” created by Earl Hamner who created “The Waltons.”

“Knots Landing” created by David Jacobs who was a creator/writer for “Dallas” and the show, “Family.”
Avatar 1:10am BadGuyZero:

"Knots Landing" was a "Dallas" spin-off; "Falcon Crest" was not. "Falcon Crest" did, however, air after "Dallas" for several seasons.
  1:12am JakeGould:

@Therese: Speaking of 1980s, been rewatching old “Magnum P.I.” and dork kid actor Lauri Hendler from “Gimme a Break!“ appeared on an early episode. She is the dorky girl in glasses all the way to the left of this pic, right next to Nell Carter. www.sitcomsonline.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:13am Ken From Hyde Park:

The snooty people would watch "Upstairs, Downstairs."
  1:14am JakeGould:

@KenFromHydePark: That and/or “EastEnders.”
  1:16am JakeGould:

Big ups for the new “La Luz.”
  1:32am sugarwolf:

Ha, speaking of Dynasty, I just saw an ad for Carrington cologne on Tumblr
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:35am Therese:

  1:35am sugarwolf:

"Top notes: lemon, bergamot, lavender, basil and anise. Heart: jasmine, geranium, carnation, ylang-ylang, ferns, patchouli, cedar and vetiver. Base: tonka bean, musk, vanilla, amber, heliotrope and moss."

How to smell like John Forsythe!
  1:36am JakeGould:

FWIW, Therese did you hear that some kid in Los Angeles contracted the plague after a trip to some national forest? Legionnaires disease in NYC and the plague in Los Angeles? This retro disease craze is giving me rickets! gizmodo.com...
  1:37am JakeGould:

Carrington Cologne is real. www.fragrantica.com...
Avatar 1:43am BadGuyZero:

A few nights ago I was watching "Less Than Zero" and had an epiphany: "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" is John Hughes' fanfic prequel to LTZ.
  1:44am JakeGould:

I realized I was exiting one stage of my teenage life when “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” did nothing for me and I discovered Metallica’s “Master of Puppets.”
Avatar 1:46am BadGuyZero:

"Master Of Puppets" was pretty great until eight months later when "Reign In Blood" came out.
  1:47am JakeGould:

@BadGuyZero: Never got deeper into metal; mainly on the pop side for me. Just really liked “Master of Puppets.”
  1:50am P-90:

Cylon Boogie
Avatar 1:52am BadGuyZero:

@JakeGould: Ever since October 7, 1986 people have been trying to make an album better than "Reign In Blood." Everyone has failed thus far.
Avatar 1:54am BadGuyZero:

Graphic duplicating devices!
  1:55am JakeGould:

@BadGuyZero: Hey, that’s only your opinion.
  1:57am P-90:

"Words and pictures COMBINED"- bringing tomorrow to you!
Avatar 1:59am BadGuyZero:

It's Robert Forster from The Go-Betweens.
Avatar 2:02am BadGuyZero:

I shant ever go to sleep again for fear of having nightmares about a drunk, sweaty Quentin Tarantino hanging out at a Go-Betweens show.

Thanks, Therese!
  2:08am KP:

Seasons was impressive
  2:14am KP:

Avatar 2:16am ! I X Key !:

im sorry but in terms of cylons, which is among other things the word anonymous in 2008 used for scientologists, i love how what's it's down to at this point is that one person said that the reason they think the Church of Scientology's PAC Base should be shut down is its gross out-tech, & that its PCs (oh I mean pre-clears) should be moved to the Flag Land Base or somewhere like that
  2:26am JakeGould:

Oy vey! Going away. Thanks for the show Therese!
Avatar 2:35am BadGuyZero:

Can you cut-and-paste this? ³
  2:36am dbj:

I thought that last week, Therese. SO much Supertramp
Avatar 2:39am BadGuyZero:

Seven times last week I had breakfast in America.
Avatar 2:40am BadGuyZero:

Jagjaguwar would release that Supertramp record.
  2:40am dbj:

Jeff Tweedy would produce the album
  2:41am P-90:

Avatar 2:44am BadGuyZero:

Dan Bejar should produce the Supertramp record.
Avatar 2:44am BadGuyZero:

Or Steve Albini.
  2:45am P-90:

Roy Thomas Baker could produce Supertramp "comeback"
  2:48am Spiro agnew:

Thanks for tipping us off to Dust on the Nettles ... it looks like a winner.
  2:51am P-90:

Hollywood Records (Queen's current label) would do a great job with a Supertramp reunion.
  2:56am P-90:

Another question: who should produce/release The Tubes' reboot album?
  2:57am Steve-O:

Anyway, thanks for a wonderful show as usual, Therese! I hope you have a awesome week ahead.....=)
Avatar 2:59am BadGuyZero:

Mike Patton should produce The Tubes and release it on his Ipecac Records label.
Avatar 3:00am BadGuyZero:

I dislike Sundays at 3am because it means that Therese's show is over. :sad trombone:
Avatar 3:00am ! I X Key !:
