  12:10am Cooh John:

  12:11am ImaadMajeed:

just discovered Destroyer. Thank you, Therese! tuned in from Colombo, Sri Lanka
  12:15am JakeGould:

Whoa! Bey on Therese? I’m at a bachelorette party or what?
  12:17am JakeGould:

And yes to the Alice Cooper kicking things off.
  12:24am JakeGould:

Ike & Tina? Mariah & ODB? Diana & Marvin? Theme?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27am sugarwolf:

the theme is AWESOME
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:28am sugarwolf:

oh wait that's the theme for Therese's show every week!!
  12:32am P-90:

"Hello, Hooray!" Always nice to hear that bed music...and your first words on the air, Therese.
  12:33am P-90:

Man, I'd love to have that Alice box set to play with.
  12:35am P-90:

There's not enough R&B in Life, period.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36am sugarwolf:

there probably isn't enough R&B in my life.

I mean there's some but is it.... enough??
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38am Therese:

I just singled you out because there's probably more R&B in your life than there is in mine.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43am sugarwolf:

there is never enough Dutronc in my life, and there is already plenty
Avatar 12:46am BadGuyZero:

I don't have enough R&B in my life, though I probably have more than people think I probably do.
Avatar 12:52am nanantatee:

luuuurve this peter schilling track
Avatar 12:54am BadGuyZero:

I'm dancing because I don't want to die.
Avatar 12:54am BadGuyZero:

SIDE NOTE: Typing and dancing at the same time is not easy.
  12:55am nanantatee:

@bgz right on
Avatar 12:58am BadGuyZero:

Is that Ruckus Roboticus record a sequel to "Phantom Of The Paradise?"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59am Therese:

I don't know, BGZ! But as long as Lady Tigra is involved, I am all for it.
  1:00am JakeGould:

Whoomp! Here it is! ruckusroboticus.bandcamp.com...
  1:01am JakeGould:

@Therese: Apropos to music at places one eats, was the R&B at a taco/burrito place? Because I have never been in one that doesn’t just place classic rock of the 1970s. Always get my Santana/Yes fix while eating tacos.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:04am Therese:

@JakeGould- It was not a taco place. It's funny, the taco place near the station always seems to be playing Van Halen.
Avatar 1:05am BadGuyZero:

I assume they're singing this to someone that isn't a scrub.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:09am Therese:

Also known as a...?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11am Therese:

BUS STOP! Come on, people!!!
  1:15am JakeGould:

@Therese: Isn’t that a misheard lyric? Just saying. Also, yeah… Van Halen is right up a taco place’s alley. One time in Greenpoint I was going into Calexico and some bro put his hand on my shoulder and said, “Dude! They’re just playing ‘Yes’ all night!” and I said, “And that’s bad because?” And I went in to enjoy my tacos and prog.
Avatar 1:18am BadGuyZero:

Tacos & Prog sounds like it could be a sister restaurant to Death Metal Pizza in Austin, TX.
  1:21am JakeGould:

@BadGuyZero: I don’t know about pizza places that explicitly play stoner music.
  1:24am P-90:

That taco place in Jersey City will be lucky if they don't get served a cease and desist order for infringing on the planned "Mex Halen" chain of VH-themed taco restaurants.
  1:28am JakeGould:

Van Hagar owns “Cabo Wabo.” Whatever “Cabo Wabo” means.
  1:29am P-90:

And yes, "bus stop" is a Mondegreen (misheard lyric), actually he's also known as "a Buster".
  1:31am P-90:

Or "a Bustah", depending on your regional accent.
Avatar 1:32am BadGuyZero:

The Cramps also played The Peach Pit.
  1:33am JakeGould:

“Bustah” sounds like something a drunk Irish guy says to you at 4:00am on Saturday at a bar before he attempts to fight you.
  1:34am P-90:

OK, that's a legit argument for "bus stop." I suppose.
Avatar 1:35am BadGuyZero:

The Alice Cooper "Behind The Music" was a good one. It's basically "watch Alice drink" for 55 minutes followed by "now Alice is sober."
  1:36am JakeGould:

The official lyrics for “No Scrubs”:

A scrub is a guy that thinks he's fly
And is also known as a buster
Always talkin' about what he wants
And just sits on his broke ass
So (no)

Avatar 1:36am BadGuyZero:

Urban Dictionary's definition for "bus stop" [copied-and-pasted exactly as appears on UD]...
noun and adjective : a woman who had systemmatically jumps from mam to man.
  1:36am P-90:

@BGZ: Haha! I remember that. I still hope Santa brings me that Alice Cooper Band box set...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36am Therese:

Sober and playing golf.
  1:38am P-90:

Lots and lots of golf.
Avatar 1:38am BadGuyZero:

So much golf.
  1:42am P-90:

@BGZ: "...systematically jumps from M'am to man"?
Like Bruce Jenner in reverse?
  1:42am hesh:

is how the sea and cake named themselves.
"do these guys know how to party or what?"
  1:42am JakeGould:

I wish miniature golf was more of a thing in NYC. Stupid NYC hipsters with their bocce ball and shuffle board and kickball leagues.
  1:51am JakeGould:

I also miss pony rides.
Avatar 1:52am BadGuyZero:

Studio A Laser Gun overdubs would work on this song.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:54am Tome:

Amy ! [ all chocked up now ] ,, getting chills now ..
Avatar 2:11am BadGuyZero:

APTBS is the only band I've seen that comes anywhere close to being as loud as My Bloody Valentine.
  2:13am david from ks:

,,,o good stuff !
Avatar 2:14am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Lovin' this set: band I was in covered a GbV song, but I don't actually know them (understand he's a compulsive writer) - yet felt 'connected' to song you played.
APtBS was comprised of people who made their own brand of effects pedals? Very kewl...
Avatar 2:15am BadGuyZero:

Those pedals look like something out of a 1950s sci-fi flick.
Avatar 2:16am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- right - they come w/ warnings they may blow up yer amps ?! - kinda circuit bending...
Avatar 2:18am BadGuyZero:

Whoah...according to Wikipedia "I've Never Been To Me" was covered by Ned's Atomic Dustbin. Must find.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:21am Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, Therese. How are you?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:22am Therese:

I'm all right Ken, how are you?
Avatar 2:24am BadGuyZero:

What time is it in Sweden? Maybe we could call a record store there and ask how it's pronounced. *HA!*
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:25am Ken From Hyde Park:

To steal a song lyric I heard once, "I feel better than James Brown."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:25am Therese:

It's morning in Sweden, but probably too early for record stores?
Avatar 2:26am BadGuyZero:

The label's description mentions nuclear meltdown. So I wonder if it's "yew-rain"...like uranium minus the "ium."
  2:42am JakeGould:

Iran? Uran! Ha! What a country!
Avatar 2:44am BadGuyZero:

Uran so far away?
  2:46am JakeGould:

Speaking of “Flock of Seagulls” I just learned that band was considered a part of the “New Romanticism” movement in the U.K. They don’t seem to romantic?
Avatar 2:49am BEAVO:

Esteban was eaten! No not bitten, eaten!
  2:59am Steve-O:

Hi Therese and company! Sorry I forgot to comment earlier, but great show as per the usual, tonight! =D
