Morning Bob. Nice start with Buzzin' Fly
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:03am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...ooohhh - that's how I know I've found a home...
  9:04am joechrismorris:

ah TIm Buckley!
  9:05am 1whoknewcthulhu:

Good morning, Bob. Tim Buckley is always a nice way to start a Saturday morning--or any morning.
  9:05am joechrismorris:

wish there were some live video footage of this track being played by TIm, somewhere
  9:05am Stuart Rose:

Great, mellow opening.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:07am Uncle Michael:

This is a good morning. 9.5 hour of sleep, Iced coffee, Bob playing Tim and the Mrs. frying bacon.
Avatar 🥁 9:09am duke:

@UM You're fully recovered from the jukebox extravaganza?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:11am Uncle Michael:

Yeah, since it actually went well, I wasn't wiped out. But it's not disconnected from the 9.5 hours of sleep.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:11am Mike East:

Hot coffee and oatmeal here...Mrs at work. Playing holidays with my little one. And groovin' to the tunes, of course
Avatar 🥁 9:11am duke:

It was a great show. I'm sorry I had to miss a lot of it.
  9:12am Dan from Toronto:

Good morning! Thanks for the delightful pancake tunage.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:12am Uncle Michael:

I don't think there's a more perfect match between day of week, time of day, and what I need, than this show each week.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:13am Uncle Michael:

Thanks duke.
  9:16am Douglas:

Great bio of Tim written by Lee Underwood. How about In My Own Dream by Paul Butterfield?
  9:18am Dan from Toronto:

To be precise: I'm the one making pancakes, and doing dishes, for myself and four kids. It's important to set the right vibe. This African blues is just right!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:18am melinda:

Morning, everyone! I agree that Tim Buckley is a good way to begin Saturday. Missed the Hank & Tim intro, though, always bummed when I tune in a minute too late.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:18am WilliamfromDumont:

Wow, I remember Music In Sea Minor. 10 inch ep?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...I disgrace myself before KP to admit I don't know this Gene Clark, but how excellent to hear...
  9:27am Joe Chris Morris:

think there was a tribute to White Light some years back
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:27am WilliamfromDumont:

I thought I heard recently of a Gene Clark box set on Sierra coming out soon. Was I dreaming this?
  9:28am Joe Chris Morris:

I'd give Two Sides of Gene Clark a miss. Haven't listened to White Light and No Other YET despite having them on cd (theres only so much time in the day
  9:28am Joe Chris Morris:

Gene's music wasn't the same after he left the Rutles though!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:29am melinda:

The Mexican music was lovely.
  9:30am Emile:

Morning Bob n' all
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:35am WilliamfromDumont:

I think the 10 inch format was discontinued by 1955.
  9:41am Stuart Rose:

Claude cloud- a very Rex platter.

Now, I'd challenge Tex to play even a few bars of Carlos Chavez.
  9:42am Joe Chris Morris:

when did cassettes surface? I had a cassette of Left Banke's Too album (1969?) (Smash Records?
Avatar 9:52am SmokinJ:

Lovin' Spongetones! Mornin' bb & group!
  9:52am Stuart Rose:

A Question for anyone in the know: what Charlatans album to buy?
Swag For Life Member 10:01am tadpoles:

JC Morris - the mid '60's - invented by the Dutch Philips company - www.newscenter.philips.com...

Showing my age but I remember newspaper ads in the later '60's with spools of unwound messed up reel to reel tape with the copy line "Tame The Tangler" only to be followed days later by a simple picture of their new c60 cassette - wonderful!
  10:02am MW:

"Shades of Grey" -- wow!! Thanks for that one
  10:12am Cooh John:

NRBQ coming to my town this spring. Can't wait. It will be my first time seeing them.
  10:23am burpage:

yes baby sweet member this song when i went to school in wordsworth academy 72 76
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:26am WilliamfromDumont:

That Alan Price tune reminds me of an early T Rex song. From My People Were Fair But....era.
  10:38am EB:

Before the clock, there was always the position of the sun in the sky...
  10:40am Taavi:

Re Elvin: "Volcanic" is the word.
  10:45am Listener Robert:

I always think of the last one as singing, "Keep your whitefish flying...," RAW style.
  10:47am Listener Robert:

You know, instead of the white bird.
  10:53am burpage:

every saturday morning
  10:58am Joe Chris Morris:

thanks tadpoles! tapes are hard to find (though Robyn Hitchcock released one on Record Store Day for The Man Upstairs
