www.youtube.com...🥁 9:13am : Checked out the track listing for the new Gene Clark thing on Sierra. Wow. Looks good.9:14am : nice scoop with the Heron Oblivion!9:18am : Loved the Mas Que Nada9:28am : Another great Saturday is underway.9:28am : Great choice for Saturday morning music!! Thank you!9:37am : The Fats thing was great eh? Shoulda' taped it..9:47am : that Q/perkins tune is over much too soon9:56am : Roy Haynes! He turns 91 on March 13--and he's still touring (just played the Blue Note a month or two ago)--god bless him. Thanks for vintage Roy, Bob.9:57am : Fireball XL5 !!!
Thanks Bob! I'm 12 years old again now!10:02am : Videodrome?10:02am : fireball x fifteen10:03am : That "Twilight Zone" episode was titled "The Dummy"--great Cliff Robertson turn.10:05am : Hi Bob - yes, XTC recorded a version of the Fireball XL-5 theme. Aside from many bootleg collections of their early demos, it's also included in their box set "Coat of Many Cupboards"10:06am : Scott and band nailed Step Aside" on the latest Loft Sessions.10:13am : I once went to a Bad Company signing to have Mick sign a Mott album for me. He was amused.10:18am : Love these Mick Ralph tracks-didn't know the until Bob played them. But I'm curious about why Bob prefers this hoople to the more Ian hunter imprinted one.10:21am : SUPERTHUNDERSTINGCAR!
www.youtube.com...10:23am : OMG--Coltrane and Hartman! It doesn't get better than this!10:25am : This is one amazing album.10:36am : Great giving Gerry Anderson themes some airplay! He promoted his productions as done in "Supermarionation", a mix of marionettes, some occasional live action, extensive set building and some wonderfully primitive special effects. A big deal if you were a kid in the 60's. The Fireball XL5 theme was always a favorite of mine, great use of a Clavioline in it. I even did a kind of surf/instrumental version of it that got a bunch of air play.10:39am : Maybe people who pledge $100 or more to your show the next 2 weeks could get a guided tour of The Brainen Archives?10:41am : You mean we'd be in Brainen's brain?🥁 11:12am : Great show Bob
