But I came to think of Ken's death defying or body-mutilating stunts as par for the course after his wakeboarding accident. I'd never even HEARD of wakeboarding before, then I saw video of someone doing it & shuddered.

To highlight the green color, they showed a hand actor representing the manicurist pouring it NEAT into the bowl -- which would be a lousy way to soften skin for a manicure. They actually DO use soapy water for that purpose, but dilute, because once you get beyond a certain concentration it's less effective than plain water. Also less effective for cleaning.

What I'm wondering is whether they could defend their trademark on Palmolive soap vs. a serious challenge today, because it originated from the use of palm & olive oil. They probably do still use palm, but olive's expensive so they probably don't use that any more. It was like when Pepsi & Coke fought over the word "cola" in their trademarks.
