For you, James, and all of you listeners: I present the image that this frog GIF narrowly beat out this morning for the honor of playlist GIF:
giphy.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:51am
Amanda:

It's actually so good that I realize I should use it some other time
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54am

Holy hell, yes, that one's gotta go in the to-be-used list.

Ah, the sweet, sweet absence of my usual mid-Wednesday conference call, I can listen in real time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04pm
Amanda:

We will be going in and out of the early '90s throughout the show, as per the uzhe.

Welcome, everyone!

Good afternoon, Amanda and Nazarethians! What's going on here? I haven't the froggiest.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11pm

@Sean: Yes, in the same tone as his "Moe is their leader" line!
Also: Hunter Thompson avatars for the win.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm

Two Amandas in one set -- tho' Dionne's is never called by name, more's the pity! Mindy has a motorcycle.

Thanks James!

P-90:

@Amanda: The Love Machine is definitely worth checking out, it's famously so crappy it's fun, a la Valley of the Dolls, but I think you'll also dig how steeped in 1969 atmosphere it is. And it has what a big movie studio at that time thought of as real "hip" music.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm
listener james from westwood:

I had a feeling I'd had the pleasure of hearing Jale here before, and the playlist search confirms Amanda's previous lurve for diff't tracks of theirs. Smashing!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37pm

Ah, great info/advice! It seems like a film I would, indeed, like if it were on TV late at night or something. Thx P-90!

Duane and I always have a little bit of overlap! Just enough to keep you guessing/confused.

@LJFW, for me it was briskly walking to school (or, more often, away from school to home).

Would've loved mobile audio on my school bike/pedestrian commute! Only had it in Mom's car during shite weather.

Hmm - middle school years for me were the early Beatles
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm
Amanda:

When old enough I used to get driven to school, then would go home alone on the subway. So it was CBS-FM in the mornings, which I think was 90% responsible for what I currently listen to.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:00pm
Doug Schulkind:

I can think of one person who would find it hysterical that the Pink Lincolns are on the Stiff Pole label. Good afternoon, Amanda!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:01pm
listener james from westwood:

Heh, in my case it was Imus in the Morning. In retrospect I'd have been better off w/ 101.1.
Holy Christmas, this Diamond version.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:09pm
Doug Schulkind:

@Listener James from Westwood
Fifteen years ago, Give the Drummer Some beat out Imus in the Morning (and Howard Stern and others) for "Best Radio Morning Show" in the NYC City Search editors' and readers' polls! True story! www.wfmu.org...

Yes! bart was always depicted as athletic. So ballet was something physical that he could credibly excel at if he got real motivated.
