EXCELLENT opener. Favorite soundtrack, favorite film of all time forever.

I've had the tradition for decades of watching Man With The Golden Arm at midnight on Xmas Eve... Nothing says Xmas like Frank Sinatra going cold turkey on Kim Novak's floor.

@Cecile-I heard a theory that U2 took music ideas from the alt universe back in the early 80's and repackaged them into pop songs...

Their first couple of albums weren't that pop. They were like this wild, swirling exuberant post-punk. They were actually part of the alt-universe at the time.

Interesting back story to Lorrie Collins covering Johnny Cash's "Another Man Done Gone". In 1959, as a 17-year old, she married Johnny's manager and they gave her the song. A real shame Stu Carnall robbed the cradle, it ended the Collins Kids' career. Johnny didn't release the song until 1963.
